A break from ordering pens - now what?

Has anyone had a break from ordering pens and was then able to order their dose again? I've stayed on 10mg for a while and have ordered every 3-4 weeks which means I have a stack of 3 pens (as I use 5th dose).

I won't actually need to order a pen until August. Does anyone have any experience in taking a break from ordering?

Suppliers usually ask for evidence of previous dose ordered which is fine, but the date on that would be May, if I was to order again in August.

Do I just have to keep ordering every 4 weeks...?🤔

You would need to check with your pharmacy. Med express requested I start again from 2.5 after a 9 week break from ordering. My prev order was 5 so I'm not sure if they made me go back to the next dose down or completely start again.
I believe with them the max time lapse is 8 weeks between prescriptions.

I'm with Livewell pharmacy. I emailed them to let them know I won't be ordering for 2 months and they said it's fine. I sent photos of the unused pens as evidence but I don't know if it was necessary.

You do have to tell them in advance, and maintenance friendly pharmacies like Livewell let you recommence even if you do have a complete break (like if you wanted to go it alone at your goal weight) because they've got evidence of your starting weight. You have to agree in advance again though and it's case by case, but they said to me I can recommence for up to 12 months.

Medexpress, simple online pharmacy etc won't prescribe again after 12 weeks unless your BMI is 30+ and you basically start again at 2.5.

Quite a few of the established pharmacies will accept photos of full pen(s) and prescription label in your name as proof of continuous use. Maybe date the photo too.

Perhaps less likely with the big ones like med express etc who like to keep their order process simple.

With Medexpress, you can order the same dose within 12 weeks, or 8 weeks if you want to move up.
