Jabs & insurance - how does it work

Thinking of trying the injections but wondering about the impact on life & travel insurance. Are people telling their life insurance companies about them? What about travel insurance. If something does happen unrelated will insurance cover you or will they try blame it on the jabs?

Yes you need to declare it on travel insurance. Not sure about life.

If you are asked for a list of medication then you should include it

@Doggymummar I was thinking would there be some small print where you are meant to declare it even if not asked for list of meds.

Even once off it. would insurance try & use it as a get out clause?

We have a holiday later in the year insured with Staysure - I couldn't find any information online as to whether it needed to be declared so did a live chat with an agent on their website who confirmed that when individual conditions are listed on the cover so long as you answer all the questions and declare any medications taken if you are asked to do so, then other medications do not need to be detailed.

Prior to that I had added 'obesity' as a condition on my record with them - it added £16 to the premium but didn't ask for any medication used to treat it so, having screenshotted the live chat, I am happy I am covered.

That's reassuring @JustAnotherSod thank you
