I’ve been on MJ since September and lost 4 stone 4. I’m thrilled. I always said I didn’t want to continue beyond the summer. I have lots of social events planned and want to enjoy them without side effects (I get bad side effects on MJ and can’t drink wine as makes me sick). I’m already below my original goal weight but still not happy.

I see lots of people going stupidly skinny and I don’t want to do that, I would like to lose some more weight around my tummy to comfortably fit a size 12 but the weight isn’t going from there.

I’m starting my first 12.5mg this week and hoping 5 weeks on it will shift enough and then planning about 6 weeks maintenance.

Should I carry on until I’m happy with my shape or accept this is what I now look like? I’m also concerned I’ll put on weight so not sure how much of a buffer to give myself

What’s your current BMI? I’m aiming for somewhere between BMI 23 and 24, not super skinny. The other thing I’d consider would be waist circumference, which is supposed to be half your height or less.

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar I’m not convinced by BMI as an accurate measure of a healthy weight but that said I’d like to be able to say I’m a healthy weight. At the moment my BMI is 26. For me to be 23 I’d end up too skinny.

Fair enough. Maybe just within your healthy weight range, then? You must be pretty close now.

I would definitely have a conversation now with the maintenance friendly providers. That way if the weight creeps back on you could go back on mj before you're obese. It's just a backup plan though, you might be ok.

I lost weight in 2011 and gained it all back and more. I tried to diet while my weight was going up but nothing would work. Apparently when you stop mj it's like hunger pain and the hunger is like primal.

I really like Livewell but there's also pharmulous, oushk, swift doctor. It's on a case by case basis but they might agree that if you gain weight you can recommence mj in the next 12 months. They usually like a history with people though.
