Desperate to start paralysed by indecision

I need to loose weight. BMI 33.
I’ve decided to try mounjaro but every time I try to decide to order I become panicked that I’m choosing the “wrong” supplier. It was triggered by trying to sign up straight away to medexpress who refused me as I had gall bladder out 17 years ago. Now two months later I still can’t decide which supplier to try next. Too much choice.
is this usual. How do I decide? Does it matter? Are all suppliers legitimate? Will the drug be different with different suppliers? Do any offer hand-holding?

The suppliers listed at https://monj.co.uk/ are all legitimate. You can check if a supplier is legitimate by looking for their GPhC registration number on their website. You can go to the GPhC website and read the details of the pharmacy’s most recent inspection report if you want.

Mounjaro is the same whichever (regulated) pharmacy you get it from - it is only manufactured by one company (Eli Lilly) as they hold the patent for it in the UK.

Som pharmacies offer more “support” of various kinds. The comparison list on Monj has a column to indicate which companies offer additional support/coaching. They tend to be more expensive, and some are subscription based so be aware of what you’re signing up for and how to cancel if you change your mind.

It really doesn’t matter which company you choose, they’re all pretty similar and supply the same product. I’d suggest choosing based on price, for the services that you want.

I wasn't sure if it was for me but I told myself I'd try a month/week and I could always stop. I've been absolutely fine and I've done 12 weeks. I think most people are fine but you only hear about the side effects.

What about asking in your local independent pharmacy? Pretty much everyone sells it now.

Alternatively I would call the maintenance friendly pharmacies. Places like medexpress are just trying to get as many people through as possible so they exclude people because it's faster to say no to you and yes to the next 5 people instead of saying yes to you and looking into your case.

I would ring Livewell, pharmulous and oushk. I had a really good experience with Livewell but I've heard pharmulous and oushk are good too. I think Livewell would definitely be up for extra support and when you call you speak to a pharmacist.

Find a pharmacy - NHS

Find an open pharmacy near you on the NHS website. Check your local pharmacy's opening times, and find your nearest late night, 24-hour or out-of-hours chemist.

Do it !! It’s literally a life enhancing decision in all ways. I was 95kg in May last year .. a size 18. Pre diabetic, high bp , high cholesterol, knee pain.. I had been going to the gym for a year and my shape had changed but no loss of weight.. then I started MJ. I had tried Atkins, WW, LCD drinks, Orlistat , Slimming World .. you know it .. I tried it . but this worked !!

November 25 I hit goal. I am now 62.5kg and treated myself to a tummy tuck for all the loose skin . I’m now size 8. and what a difference it’s made to my world not least because I’m med free !!
