5 weeks done and I'm cold all the time. I'm not a cold person.

Anyone else?!

Yes! I’ve always been a « too hot » person. Never felt cold in May! But I’ve had to put woolly socks on this week. Weird, isn’t it?

TheFunkyDuckling · 09/05/2025 16:19

I had an episode on Wednesday (W5D5) 1st week of 5mg, where I was so cold. Like I felt poorly. But it was gone within 5 hours.
I also had other symptoms so don't know if it was a bug or the monj. Made me very apprehensive about my next jab tomorrow though

Are you eating enough? Are you losing weight rapidly? Is your calorie deficit more than 500?

If you are losing more than 2lb each week after the first couple of weeks I think feeling cold could be related to not eating enough.

Fffreeeeezing · 09/05/2025 16:22

There is a reason for my username! And the fact I'm currently under a heated throw......

cloudjumper · 09/05/2025 16:26

Yes, I had this for the first few weeks (as do a lot of people). Def ensure you eat enough, this will help.
If it’s any consolation, I went back to feeling normal after maybe 6-8 weeks (I think).

SilenceInside · 09/05/2025 16:27

Yep, I used to be a hot person but since being on Mounjaro I run ridiculously cold. It’s been the same throughout, 10 months now, regardless of whether I’ve lost a lot or a little, or even occasionally gained that week.

For me, I actually really appreciate not being a hot sweaty mess, even when it’s warm and sunny. I just layer up, blankets, heat pads, even pocket hand warmers in the winter.

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 09/05/2025 16:30

Yes. It comes up frequently on this board. It’s thought to be related to the drug’s action on the hypothalamus, and over time it’s compounded as losing fat means losing insulation!

Redlightbulb · 09/05/2025 16:33

Being halfway through my journey I am definitely coping better with the warmer weather but can't say I feel the cold more.

plantsnpants · 09/05/2025 16:38

either low body fat or too low calories in my experience (not on any injections but have v low body fat so am always cold)

Eminybob · 09/05/2025 17:04

First couple of days after injecting I am always freezing!

Willowy1982 · 09/05/2025 19:42

I've bought myself summer jumpers! 😅 Like proper thick jumpers but just more summery in colour and pattern.

Doggymummar · 09/05/2025 19:46

I've been on WLI for over two years now and apart from a week on holiday, last year my electric blanket had been on all but three days. From the minute I get up to the minute I go to bed. Always been cold. But this is next level. I have now bought a usb heated gilet which I was wearing today to move around a bit more.m

unsync · 09/05/2025 20:30

I've lost 38.8 kg (6 stone-ish). I'm cold because all my blubber kept me warm and now it's gone. It never occurred to me this would happen. On the upside, I've found somewhere that does lovely reconditioned cashmere jumpers at great prices, because of course all my old clothes no longer fit so I need new stuff. 🙄

Somethingthecatdraggedin7 · 09/05/2025 20:55

Started feeling cold on 10mg. Have been wearing a jumper and socks in bed some nights. I hope this means I will tolerate the summer heat better than normal when/ if it arrives.

Adelstrop · 09/05/2025 21:47

Yes. I went up to 7.5 after 4 months on 5mg, and I’m so cold and tired. Today I was wearing my winter coat while all around me were
people in T shirts. I am definitely not losing too quickly - about 1 lb a week, so it can’t be that. I think I will be going back to 5mg!

HoratioBum · 10/05/2025 04:51

Yes, cold for about 3 days after a jab and it’s worse when I’ve just eaten.

CompletelyFlopped · 10/05/2025 14:32

Yeah! I'm 5 months in and still freezing! There's a thread on this every couple of weeks! I can't even use my hot water bottle anymore (sad!) because I've used it so much, v hot, and without a cover, that I've now got a rash!! Still using my heated blankets, heated gillet, etc... though!!
