Three week gap

Hi, due to circumstances I haven’t been able to have my third pen for 3 weeks. It’s another 5mg, is it ok after a 3.5 week gap? I don’t know if with it being 5mg if it will be too much? Just looking to see if anyone else has had a break of that length. Thanks

The advice from Eli Lilly is to start again at 2.5mg, but I would suggest speaking to your prescriber about what would be best.

Hi Bellaboo9,
I had a 3 week break when I was due to have my second 5mg jab.
I went back to 2.5mg but after 2 weeks on it I knew that I needed to go up a dose so started to titrate up slowly to 5mg, I counted clicks and did 40 clicks of 5mg, then 50 clicks the week after, 55 and then 60. It worked for me and after a 3 week stall I’m slowly on my way up to 7.5mg
i hope that made sense and helped

Hi @Bellaboo9 I had a 3 week gap to have surgery. I had been on MJ for 6 weeks at that point and had just gone up to 5mg. When I restarted, I counted clicks with my 5mg pen to have the first week back on it at 2.5mg (as per the guidance), then moved up to 3.75mg for the next dose. I am undecided about whether to go to 5mg or not for my next dose this coming weekend.

Hi, thanks for your replies. My pen arrived today so I’ve counted 30 clicks on a 5mg pen. I just felt that going straight back onto 5mg would be too much after that break, have always felt fine after the injection but didn’t want to risk it.
