Very well done @Randomusernameforcode , you must be thrilled. I'll look forward to your updates as I am planning on no maintenance too.

91kg this morning - no change.

supafish · 27/05/2025 07:10

Actually I’ve loved selling my old bits on Vinted , got really excited when I saw I dress I loved from next - (I have a too large size 20 )in a size 16 on there , bought it for £4 and it fits and looks great on me ! Have some favourite items that I’m clinging too that are starting to look big and rediculous but I can’t get rid because I love them . Got them in Australia so unlikely to see them over here😢

DGonMJ · 27/05/2025 08:03

Congrats on hitting your goal weight @Randomusernameforcode well done and welcome to maintenance! Am keen to follow your journey on how you find coming off MJ, I expect next week might be when you’ll start to notice the difference.

On my juniper scales I’ve managed to stay exactly the same for the last 4 weigh ins. So eating at 1700 seems to be working so far. I even had a big slice of homemade banana cake yesterday. Back to work today and hopefully a healthier week to make up for the fried food at the weekend.

Jins · 27/05/2025 08:38

Congratulations @Randomusernameforcode.

I’ve gained a bit since returning from my hols. I’m now 1.4lbs up which is almost certainly down to disruption from loperamide, water retention and crap food on Sunday. Struggling to get back on track if I’m honest but I’m not going to stress about it too much. I’m sure that people who don’t struggle with weight management have post holiday blips.

Boring day today. Car in for service and MOT and no courtesy car so my kindle will go in my bag and I’ll try to get my steps in while I’m waiting

meatyryvita · 27/05/2025 09:20

Congratulations @Randomusernameforcode !!

My stats are very similar, my BMI is slightly lower, it took until 22.3ish to get everything in the green apart from subcutaneous fat.

Our numbers are so similar though which makes me wonder if it is indeed calculating it.

I also don't really care about subcutaneous fat, although part of me wants everything green. But I care less so now that I think it's probably just calculated based on BMI rather than anything real...?!?

This is what I was wondering at the start, but my BMI is higher.

It annoyingly makes me 2lb heavier than my other scales too.

Hmmm I guess I've got fat to lose / muscle to gain then 😭🤣
That is my intention next - to do more strength workouts and try and build some more muscle.

Aimingdown · 27/05/2025 10:25

Boditrax type stuff is only really potentially helpful for overall trends from what I’ve read. On Friday it told me I had lost .5 of a kilo but had put on fat and lost muscle. Tried again yesterday (I normally only do it once a week but was annoyed) and it had me at exactly the same weight but with a kilo more muscle and less fat. I’m loving its ‘very muscular’ assessment of my physique though 😂

HeavyHeidi · 27/05/2025 10:27

I've now done 3 Bodypump classes in 2 days now. Do not recommend - had to teach, 2 other instructors on holidays.
Bought the renpho digital measuring tape and apparently my right thigh is 2 cm bigger than left, wtf. I could understand the dominant arm, but I'm pretty sure I use my legs equally and don't hop around on the right one.

Zempy · 27/05/2025 16:32

Well done @Randomusernameforcode

I am amazed that the “theory” that resetting your metabolism by eating “normally” for several days seems to have worked in my case!

I had been quite stuck for a few weeks, with a pound or two lost in that time. However, after carbing up in NYC with chocolate, pastries, toast etc, I gained a pound but have lost three pounds since I returned six days ago! Incredible how our bodies work.

So am now 10:4. Starting weight was 13:7. Ideally I would like to get to around 9:7 before attempting maintenance.

Jins · 27/05/2025 16:37

The weirdest thing happened today. I weighed in first thing at 9st 8.4. I’ve been out since 10, got back about an hour ago. I bought a meal deal while I was out, only managed one sandwich and the banana but had plenty of fluid.

About 10 minutes ago I suddenly felt thinner. I was changing into my garden trousers at the time. So obviously I weighed myself 9st 7.2!!! Losing over a pound seemed unlikely so I tried my rude scales - 9st 7.6!!!!

So that’s improved my mood

HeavyHeidi · 27/05/2025 17:12

LOL I love how you "suddenly felt thinner"

Jins · 27/05/2025 17:47

It is odd but I sometimes do feel thinner. Maybe my stomach doesn’t feel as bloated or the pads above my hips feel smaller. I don’t go round running my hands round myself to check. 🤣

Does it happen to anyone else?

HeavyHeidi · 27/05/2025 18:10

Yes, I have some kind of body dysmorphia, it seems. Some days I look bloated and like I have lost no weight at all. Other days I look positively skinny.

CurlsandCurves · 27/05/2025 18:45

Congrats @Randomusernameforcode great achievement!

weighed today and stayed the same. Well I lost 0.2 of a pound which is neither here nor there in my mind. Not a surprise because the last 2 weeks I have struggled and was ready to move up.

So my pen had 3 5mg doses left in it, so I split it and did 7.5 last night. Appetite has steadied off as suppression is kicking in and the food noise is back under control. So we’ll see what 7.5 has in store for me.

whyamisuddenlygettingolder · 27/05/2025 19:44

It is so exciting seeing people on this thread at or approaching maintenance!

I’ve been visiting family and for the past couple of days have been attempting to follow the pre-colonoscopy diet without telling them about it - or about mounjaro - so they must think I’ve lost my mind. Eating a low fibre, low residue diet while not in your own house, and nearly always in restaurants, is bloody hard. Today I’ve had three coffees, a croissant, a bowl of yoghurt with a peeled pear, and a desperation pack of cooked chicken pieces, bought at the train station. Am bloody ravenous and so looking forward to being able to use my own kitchen tomorrow - another day of attempting to navigate restaurant menus and my mother’s beady eye might have finished me off.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 27/05/2025 21:39

Evening all. I'm feeling really bored with the dieting today, can't be bothered to drink the water, the food i am allowed is really unappealing and I'm just a bit fed up.
I weigh in tomorrow and don't think I've lost any weight this week, which doesn't help. I lost a lot last week but that was after days of next to no food as I was so unwell, so it feels "fair" it was a high loss week.
I think five months in and knowing there is at least another five to go is just getting me down.

Me! Some days I feel really thin and other days just normal. I'm noticing things are generally looking better though - like my skin is catching up with the weight loss! I think it's going to take time for our heads to catch up with our bodies.
I've been really hungry today and had a mini binge after dinner - 4 Ferraro rochers, two swizzles lollies, a banana and a big chunk of cheddar cheese! My meals were healthy though so probably not too bad.

I went to the Cotswolds for a few days and had some lovely food whilst there, delicious scones with jam and cream and we went to the Pig Hotel and I had mackerel pate (one of my absolute favourite things and I'd been craving it) and also Gurnard which I'd never had before - ''twas very tasty but tiny. I've definitely been hungrier this week which is a little concerning - 7.5mg isn't hitting the same as before which worries me as I'm supposed to be titrating down after this pen. I have ordered another 7.5mg from Oushk though bc I was thinking I might count clicks and do lesser doses to make the pens last longer. Still no email re the order or consultation from Oushk but it does say order confirmed on my account page and that it's being delivered on Thursday. Im not particularly bothered about the consultation as long as they're happy to send out the pens, im just going to play it by ear.

NSV - Bought a gorgeous Rixo dress from a lovely pre-loved boutique in Cirencester - it was on the mannequin in the window and I almost didn't try it as it's a size 8 and looked tiny, but I took a punt and asked the shop owner to take it off for me to try and it fit like a glove. I wore it to go out in the evening and felt very good in it.

UnderandOverwhelmed
Sorry you're feeling down today - I have my days when I'm really bored with it too. For me it's mainly the fact everything is dulled a little on MJ, I don't get as much enjoyment out of things. Look how far you've come though and how quickly it's gone - another 5 months will pass in no time.

DGonMJ · 27/05/2025 23:04

@UnderandOverwhelmed sorry you’re feeling fed up with it all. Hope you get to eat something tasty tomorrow.

HeavyHeidi · 28/05/2025 06:04

@UnderandOverwhelmed sorry you're feeling down. Yes sometimes it feels like such a slog. MJ helps, but it does not do the work. Anything you can change so it doesn't feel like such a groundhog day? New cookbook to mix meals up a bit, some new kind of activity or other hobby? Or just relax a little for a few days, then get back on the wagon?

MJalltheway · 28/05/2025 07:25

It's a long slog @UnderandOverwhelmed, that's for sure. Hoping you get a loss today to re-motivate you.
is there anything you can do to treat yourself, you've done so well so far?

Eldest has gone back to uni for final parties/balls, it's so nice when she's home. She's an absolute delight to have around.
Still trying to narrow down holiday options for next summer, I think we've got it down to either a fly-drive to Canada or a trip to Mexico. Holidays always made more awkward by being a very tall family of 5! Even my youngest DD now doesn't fit in the kind of fold out beds that we usually get provided in hotels etc.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 28/05/2025 07:48

Thanks all. @HeavyHeidi I don't really cook actually, we have gousto boxes every other week but my husband cooks as I work later than he does. I normally have very little to eat in the day and then dinner with my family and eat the same as them as long as its vegetarian, just smaller portions. It would be nice to do a new hobby but I generally feel so ground down from work and parenting a 3 year old once I get downtime I just want to vegetate. This is also why I haven't added any exercise in yet. Part of me thinks I just need to force myself as I'm in such a rut in general.

HeavyHeidi · 28/05/2025 07:52

@MJalltheway we are family of 4, so I try to book bulkhead for DH and I, and DC sit behind us. DS (11) asked this year that why do we always sit in front. I said that well when he's taller than me, he can have the bulkhead. Then realised that's going to be this year, he's just an inch shorter than me..oops.

HeavyHeidi · 28/05/2025 08:03

@UnderandOverwhelmed 3 year olds are hard work! But yes some kind of exercise would be good and would also help with weight loss - does not have to be hours at the gym, plenty of short youtube options.

MJalltheway · 28/05/2025 08:03

@HeavyHeidi my ds is 6'5" and DH is 6'2" so they have to have the extra legroom! I sometimes get one too (5'10") if it fits in, but now youngest DD is also taller than me so I guess she needs the space more!
eldest DD is the shortest in the family at 5'9" 😂
