I know, @discov , same here. I could happily live on fruit and veggies.
I eat chicken but not red meat, so options also limited.

HeavyHeidi · 16/05/2025 12:37

I use the clear protein, which is much better tasting than the traditional ones - but at least the one I have is way too sweet, so I don't dilute in 300ml of water as directed, but about 2l. Should work the same though I expect.

discov · 16/05/2025 12:43

@HeavyHeidi which clear protein do you use? I think that would be a good option for me. I hate that proteiny taste, and despite me buying vegan protein and using almond milk it’s always a bit too milky feeling for me 🤢

@Thelittlestranger which collagen powder do you get? My friend always recommends the Willpowders one but I think it’s a bit too spendy for me!!

Thelittlestranger · 16/05/2025 12:45

I went for ancient and Brave...

Also drank the clear whey protein - that's what put me off!! But - I hadn't thought to dilute more. That's act a really good idea @HeavyHeidi . Thanks

I use Protein Works Clear Diet Whey. It really doesn't have any of the flour taste, can't stand that either. When diluted enough, I add some ice too, then it's actually really pleasant to drink.

MJalltheway · 16/05/2025 14:00

Sorry to hear that @Polkadotdash , how frustrating for you! Hope you don't have to wait too long for another date.

@HeavyHeidi what flavour do you use of the clear protein?

mince3point14159265 · 16/05/2025 14:01

I’m so sorry to hear that @Polkadotdash
, so bloody frustrating. Hopefully you’ll get a new date soon 🤞

mince3point14159265 · 16/05/2025 14:04

Weighing in a day early as heading to Paris and even if there are scales in the hotel room, they’re bound to be très rude French scales 😂

SW: 15.13.0
CW: 12:6.4
Loss this week 2.2lbs

Will have to avoid even inhaling the smell of a baguette so that I do t put that loss & more back on!

Wishing you all a bon weekend 🥰

HeavyHeidi · 16/05/2025 15:23

@MJalltheway I have watermelon and ice tea. Ice tea is nicer.

@mince3point14159265 French scales are rude, not even mention French shops, that usually class anything over size 12 as plus size. Or look horrified that 'no madame, we don't sell anything your size, but there's a camping shop next door, maybe they have a tent that will fit..'
Luckily I live 15 minutes from Germany, where they are much more accommodating.
Although I might need to change my shopping habits soon, a Zara blazer from Vinted just arrived, size S and it's roomy.

@HeavyHeidi🤣🤣

myladyjane · 16/05/2025 15:26

Just popping in to say hello and see how you are all doing. Looks like some fabulous neck cream advice (always here for the Beauty chat) but best wishes for those who are having a rubbish time.

i am still ploughing on - almost at the 2.5 stone loss mark, bmi down from 39 to 33. Am taking 50 clicks of a 7,5 pen and that seems to be working well for me. I do have a few work issues and some health anxiety problems atm so my exercise mojo has faded. Always the first thing to go when I’m stressed but I have my scary drs appointment on Tuesday which will give me some clarity on things I hope.

anyway I’ll slink away - just wanted to say well done to everyone.

reminds me of visiting Vietnam many years ago when I was actually quite svelte. However I'm still 5'10" and just quite a large build! Big bust, big hips. Wandering round a market and marvelling at the beautiful silk cheong sam dresses which of course I'd barely fit one bum cheek into and the tiny Vietnamese woman was trying to get me into her shop by saying 'come in come in, we have clothes for fatty bums!' 😭 they were so charming about it though!

HeavyHeidi · 16/05/2025 18:04

Or Thailand - "Big madam, this way!"
Will stick to Western Europe, much better. A Dutch colleague told me some time ago: Oh I thought you were Dutch, as you're tall and not very slim.
I mean, true but ouch 😁

MJalltheway · 16/05/2025 20:03

Probably why I love the Netherlands so much, I feel a normal height there! 😁

Thelittlestranger · 16/05/2025 20:54

I love the Netherlands, but I am a complete shortie there. But my direct nature fits right in 😜

I’ve also stalled a bit on weight loss, putting that down to work stress, sitting at my desk for too long not exercising and snacking. Quitting the job shortly and hope to reverse it then! Questioning whether losing the stress and having more time for gym will enable me to drop the Mounjaro and still lose then maintain, or whether I’ll need to stick with it for the long haul. Chocolate/nuts at my desk have been a major cause of the weight…

Someone asked about running leggings that don’t fall down. After becoming disillusioned with Sweaty Betty I’ve discovered TLC. Great support and stay up! They do eventually develop holes but that’s probably to be expected as I’ve lived in them for weeks at a time as they stop the bouncing stomach when I run (less of an issue post Mounjaro but good for loose skin) and I feel comfortable at my desk working from home.

Also discovered high protein option Purition shakes now have a plain version. I found the flavours a bit sickly and prefer this one - no stevia, inoffensive to me, I mix with hot water and frozen berries. Or cocoa powder and a touch of honey if choc cravings too strong!

MananaPenelope · 17/05/2025 05:42

@Clovesandcats another person stalling, painful isn’t it.

I had a day off yesterday, let’s see what today brings.

Also, my pen was not delivered.

BreezyPeer · 17/05/2025 07:53

Having a very emotional few days with loved ones in hospitals in opposite directions.
Finally got below my interim goal but not weigh day so have to wait and see if its sustained.

This thread is such a happy, supportive place, I love reading it and you have all encouraged me with my good habits 💖 xxx

SteveHarringtonsHair · 17/05/2025 08:02

Good morning all and well done for everyone keeping on going through the highs and lows of this mad journey.
Wk 17 here.

Second jab of 7.5mg and weight loss seems to have picked up again.
Just 20lbs to goal weight.
I haven’t been this weight for years, I still can’t quite believe it.
I’ve lost six inches from my waist, it’s the only place I measured.

I have noticed my moods been really low of late. I don’t seem to be quite as happy as I feel I should be about the weight loss. Anyone else getting this? It’s worrying me a bit tbh as my doctor has already increased my anti anxiety meds due to some challenging events of late.

Good luck all for the week ahead.
SW 196lbs
CW 153lbs
GW 133lbs

MananaPenelope · 17/05/2025 08:16

@BreezyPeer sending you and your family good wishes. 💐

@SteveHarringtonsHair well done on a fabulous loss. I think MJ is making my mood low. I don’t struggle with that but I am feeling really negative, struggling to see the joy in anything much and not really feeling up to doing much outside work/home. I’ve been thinking about it a lot this week as I think I need to be more sociable as I’m sort of isolating myself because I cba with much. Very aware that as a 50 odd year old woman I am responsible for my own happiness, I just can’t be bothered to join in with anything. 😩

Yesterday I ate two bread rolls and I had an ice cream. My weight is ½ kg down from yesterday, back to lowest since I started in January.

2025istheyeari · 17/05/2025 08:18

@BreezyPeer sorry to hear that, thinking of you and hoping your loved ones are home soon.
@SteveHarringtonsHair I had a couple of weeks of feeling a bit lower, I hope you’re ok,

@Clovesandcats sorry to hear about your tough times, work stress is awful, look after yourself.

@Polkadotdash noooo, I’m so sorry, that’s so upsetting, really hope you get a new date very soon.

Sorry if I’ve missed anybody else who’s having tough times. Hope you’re all
ok.

Does anybody have the link to the list of providers who offer maintenance please, I can’t seem to find it ( not near but struggling to find an appt with Oushk, says no appts available!) and need to book prob for August. Thanks and happy weekend all!

@MananaPenelope I feel a bit the same, I can’t really be bothered to do much! I’m also not finding much joy in food. Saying that I’m going out tonight and going to make a concerted effort to get out over the next few weeks. Mine has been compounded by other things but they’re calming down. Hope you feel better soon.

Yay on weight loss 🎉, maybe your body did just need something. Let’s face it 2 bread rolls and an ice cream aren’t much in the greater scheme of things either. May this be the start of a whoosh!

MananaPenelope · 17/05/2025 08:49

Thank you @2025istheyeari . I cba to to much but then that makes me feel glum. Haven’t played golf or made any plans for a month. I’m allowing myself this weekend to not make plans and then that’s it. Back to my art class, back to saying yes to invites plus golf or rowing and Pilates.

I’ve got three interviews in the pipeline too, I need to be positive. Tbf my workplace is probably contributing to how I’m feeling but I’m sure MJ is impacting it too.

HeavyHeidi · 17/05/2025 08:53

Handhold, @BreezyPeer , sorry to hear.

BlueLimes · 17/05/2025 08:56

Sorry to hear of low moods.
Also sorry @Polkadotdash that your op was cancelled. Wishing for brighter times ahead @BreezyPeer

Still at my super sticking point of 10.3 and a blooming half.
