Restarting after gallbladder removal.

I understand that it's safe to use Mounjaro without a gallbladder. I'm just so nervous and wanted to ask for other people's advice and experiences.

I was on Mounjaro for around 6 months and almost reached my target weight. I'm 1 stone away.

Unfortunately, I developed a serious infection in my gallbladder and had to have emergency surgery to remove it. This was 3 weeks ago. I'm keen to get to my target weight and would like to restart Mounjaro. Technically, I can, but I'm worried too. No one knows why I developed this infection. Has anyone restarted after gallbladder removal and how did you find it? I've lost 4.5 stones and I really want to get to my target.

Thanks.

I could do with using mounjaro, as have a fair bit of weight to lose. But my gall bladder was very badly infected before my surgery. My infection markers were up, and I had possibly developed pancreatitis.
I wouldn’t touch mounjaro now as I’d be far too scared

Have you spoken to your doctor? I had my gallbladder out in 2015 after doing the Cambridge diet, since then every time I go on any diet ( especially low carb) I still get discomfort in that area. I had a few side affects with mounjaro, but they did subside, and my doctor recommended trying the jabs. Try speaking with them, although I know that can be difficult at the moment!

You should really talk to your doctor or the hospital if you have a follow up after your surgery. However, lots of people take it after gallbladder removal. You're still quite soon after the surgery though.
I had a serious gallbladder infection last year and had mine out a few months later. Long before I started MJ so definitely not the cause. In fact gallstones take years to develop so the cause was probably a long time ago.
I've had no side effects from taking MJ. In fact, it has helped because having no gallbladder speeds up digestion and MJ has slowed it down so my bowel movements are back to normal.
