Hi all I used mounjaro for 3 months last year lost 3 stone. And had about a 3 month break. Starting again now, I have to use the 2.5mg dose for 4 weeks. It is having zero effect. Has anyone gone to 5mgs sooner on the second attempt at mounjaro?

I had to start again from the beginning because I had been using the golden doses so didn’t have to buy a pen one month. I’ve had no/ limited suppression on 2.5 and 5ml. It’s awful.

Hi with the golden dose (which I used ) it’s probably nearer 4 months. I got on great with it. Worked very well with very little side effects. I stopped as it was Christmas then I went on holidays and life just got in the way. 2nd time around is not working as well for me.

I've seen this many times on forums, second time round it has a smaller effect until higher doses. You could do a 5mg dose but it will use your pen up quicker. When did you take your dose? It may take time to kick in, for me its 3 days for full effect. Ask your prescriber for advice.
Did you put on weight while you've been off it out of interest? I'm close to maintenance and have seen differing accounts of maintenance results from users.

Hi @Lsull, can I ask why you are going back on? What was your bmi when you stopped and what is it now? And did you have any issues getting it prescribed a second time, did you use the same supplier?

Hi I hadn’t reached my weight goal. BMI is 29 no. No issues with prescriber as long as I started back on the 2.5mg

Edited

I had put 7lbs on but that included Christmas and a 2 week all inclusive. If I am being completely honest o thought it may have been more. I think next dose I will go to the 5mg

Did they allow you back on at a bmi of 29? I'm interested as I may have a month off in the summer.

Oh that's amazing! I'm going travelling and not sure about having access to a fridge but didn't want to ruin my WL journey. Who is your provider please?
