Going to apply for Mounjaro tomorrow, after much deliberation

So, I have finally decided to apply for Mounjaro tomorrow and feeling a little nervous and excited at the same time. I have PCOS and my insulin resistance is a little all over the place right now, lots of symptoms. My diet isn't too bad at all but to lose any weight, I have to stick to a keto diet and to be honest, I find that very difficult with work, home and kids.
I will probably go with Asda pharmacy as they seem the cheapest at the moment, but any recommendations are welcome.

Asda are nowhere near the cheapest at the moment. Have a look on the comparison site Monj.co.uk and you’ll see there are many options:

I take it you don't agree with weightloss medication?

Thank you to the other 2 posters. I will take a look at the link. Can you swap and change pharmacy supplier? And are they all genuine? Sorry, this is all very new to me.

Yes you can swap and change pharmacies easily. You just fill out the new pharmacy’s consultation form and it will ask if you’re already taking a WLI, then which one and what dose. You may need to provide evidence of your previous prescription, so a photo of the medication box with the prescription label visible for example.

All the pharmacies on the Monj website are legitimate, they are all registered with the GPhC who regulate and inspect pharmacies. You can see their GPhC registration number on the comparison table, which you can use to check their registration details on the GPhC website where you can read their most recent inspection report.

This is so so helpful, thank you.

Asda are good if you want to collect, its the first one i used as i was nervous, had no clue about any of it really.. but they are pricy..
yes look at the Mounj website, think you can get your first for about £100 ish..
Ive used Asda, Zava, Med Express and Oushk and now using IQ doctor.. I switched to get the first time discount on them all, but now im near my goal weight im going to stick with one supplier..

Good luck, have a read through loads of these threads and get yourself on the May starters thread as you will be with people starting the same time as you..

Only thing I like to say to people is keep the pictures you send the pharmacy, especially the first ones as you will want to compare 6 months down the line!!!

I'm 6 weeks on MJ and lost 11 pound so far 🙂

Im with Asda I paid £180 each for my first 2 pens but they've recently reduced the price to around £130 I don't know why but that's good. I like being able to collect.

Sunshineandpool · 04/05/2025 23:03

Go for it! I am so happy I went for it a couple of weeks ago. I have just had my 2nd jab and all good! You won't regret your decision!

Unfortunately, there are lots of judgey people. But who cares? My health is more important to me than what some random thinks!

I have gone with Juniper as I wanted more support than just the meds. I'm finding it really good. But if you just want a pharmacy you can find one much cheaper. Good luck with your decision and come back and let us know when you have made your first order!

Hmm...£180 does sound a lot. I paid £125 for my first order with Juniper but my next one is going to be about £200! 😲 I am finding the support good so will stick with it for now.

I have PCOS, I deliberated over the injections for well over a year. Started ozempic in October and I’m 73lbs down and wearing a comfortable size 12, 20’s were getting tight before.

it’s honestly the best decision I’ve ever made, it’s not easy but has been well worth it.

GoodCharl · 05/05/2025 11:40

Go for it. Honestly you wont regret it

Keepitrealnomists · 05/05/2025 12:13

MJ is life changing, go for it. Try Oushk pharmacy, been great with me!

@Changesarecomingno not against it at all it’s just becoming tedious seeing everyone that wants to take it starting a thread about it without bothering to use google or search for similar threads to answer their questions. 😬

SausageRoll90 · 08/05/2025 13:47

Hi just stumbled on your thread @Changesarecoming and Im the same with PCOS and insulin resistance etc. I was going to go with Asda too but found Zava to be cheaper. They're the company Asda do their weight loss injections through but by going direct it's cheaper. They deliver quickly too in my experience. If you're interested I've got a Zava discount code for £40 off - drop me a PM ☺️

I've just had my 2nd pen via Zava and it was was super easy to reorder/order the next dose up too. So glad I chose to start MJ - no regrets 🩷

You realise you are on the "weight loss injections" thread? If they don't interest you scroll on.
