Help with maintenance supplier

CompletelyFlopped · 03/05/2025 16:14

Help!

I'm with medexpress and I'm worried about going to a BMI under what they accept.

I'd like to switch suppliers so I can happily be 19 or 20 BMI without worrying and knowing I can be supported to stay on mounjaro until I feel ok to gradually taper off.

But who to switch to?

I cannot be bothered with videos and photos etc.. Is there a good maintenance supplier with minimal forms and faff? I don't mind sending a photo of my last few boxes of mj from med express, but don't want to have to do loads more work!! Who is the easiest, most hassle free maintenance supplier I can switch to that will be happy with me being BMI 19 or 20?

Any advice much appreciated 👍

It's requirement now that you send photos and have a video call. I'm with oushk, moved at just above BMI 30 to make sure I could get in. I have another 4 stone to lose probably but didn't want to end up in my own.

I'm worried that as my BMI is in the healthy range now, they won't take me? But people do switch for maintenance so maybe they will? It feels weird to have to send a photo of yourself looking a healthy BMI? I mean, why?!

You have to send photos to join oushk then every 3 months. Not sure what bmi you have to be at as a new client with them but they're very responsive to email

Some companies specifically support it.

Thanks @PaintDecisions . Really useful list. Oven switched to oushk already but good to know their rules

Presumably the photos whilst in maintenance are to show you aren't underweight.

@CompletelyFlopped have a look at the Reddit sub mounjaromaintenanceuk where there’s loads of info.

Pharmacy wise, try Pharmulous, maybe Cloud, Simple online, Medicine Marketplace do video calls to get it all over and done with. There’s a poster on Reddit who raves about Livewell. I’d email/phone them all and see what you can find out!

Thanks! I've just been looking at pharmulous. I might try them. I hadn't heard of livewell but will look them up! Trying to decide whether to make the switch this month or have one more dose from medexpress and then switch!

I have been with Pharmulous for the last few months and have been very happy with them but know that we all want different things from a pharmacy! Good luck!

Thanks! Do they kind of leave you alone once you switch, or do you have to keep sending photos etc.. every month?

I've really enjoyed medexpress because it's been so easy so far! I had to send photos at the start then every month it's been so easy, just a 1 minute form to re-order, no more photos, and the pen comes really quickly. I'd stay with them if I could but I think they don't support maintenance or keep you on once your BMI gets to under 24.

I know I sound lazy, but I just want to order easily with minimal fuss and knowing my order will reliably come every month and I can taper down at my own pace with no issues and without having to send loads of forms and photos all the time!

I’m 6lbs from maintenance so not sure what their expectations are once you get there. I plan to email next week to book a maintenance call😬

I moved last year at bmi29. I had to send a picture of my current prescription and a picture of my passport to an id check site. Since then, I have been left entirely to my devices unless I have had questions (I haven’t!).

They aim to do next day delivery if you order before 2pm. I order on a Sunday and it has arrived on Tuesday every time except for after Christmas/NY when they emailed to say they were working through a backlog and it arrived the following day. There’s a reorder button and you just update your form with new weight details. Everything so far (5 months) has been completely painless!

Mysticmaiden · 03/05/2025 18:32

Ousk do 3 maintenance plans with 15% off and free delivery. You also select your delivery date so i preferred them for that. They have a facebook support page too. Im bmi 26.8 so getting close to maintenance, oushk will accept those on a lower bmi with proof of prescriptions and allow your bmi to go down to 19. You will have go a video maintenance call though to form a personal plan of action. Seriously a photo takes a few seconds to take and similar to upload. Don't let it put you off getting the best maintenance deal.

Thanks everyone, I think I'm going to go with Pharmulous. They seem pretty good. Thanks for the suggestions. I now just need to decide when to make the move! It might depend on if I want to go up to 12.5 before I start to titrate down, or whether I'm going to stick at 10 and titrate down from here!

Thanks all!

@Shrinkingellis I think you probably got deleted for posting your referral.code which we aren't allowed to do on this board! I did checkout the supplier you mentioned but it was a wee bit too expensive for me and the maintenance planning wasn't as clear to me as Pharmulous. But thanks anyway

@CompletelyFlopped fyi, I have now emailed Pharmulous to book a chat about maintenance 😬 Will let you know how it all goes!

Oh great! Thank you!

Yes please fill me in on the process! Thankyou

I'm still trying to decide whether to switch this month or next, but times ticking away and I'll need to order my next pen soon so I might go for it next month!

Lol that's me 🙈 livewell are brilliant and I think anyone who's thinking about maintenance should ring them and see what they think for themselves. I would absolutely hate to be cut off at a healthy BMI so I've done a mountain of research. Pharmulous are good too. I've gone off oushk after the whole tiktok affiliates thing.

notapizzaeater · 08/05/2025 12:06

I’ve just this minute come off the phone to LIVEWELL, I’ve been using med express but they are lots cheaper, I’m currently 26.4 bmi and just filled in the consult for Livewell.

Medexpress switch you to 5.0mg once you get to BMI 23. This happened to me. I moved to Oushk as I still want to lose, and that was fine. The photos every 3 months is a bit of a pain but I haven't got to that yet. Also you have to order further in advance than medexpress.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 08/05/2025 13:39

@CompletelyFlopped update so far… I emailed Pharmulous clinicians on Monday (bank hol obvs!) and had a reply on Wednesday morning saying they’d love to support my maintenance plans and offering a phone call appt in 2 weeks. All booked in so 🤞 they can help me sort through the ideas swirling in my head!!

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 22/05/2025 22:28

@CompletelyFlopped Just to report that I have now had a maintenance chat with Pharmulous and have to say I am much clearer in my own mind about the way forward for me from here.

I would say that they are unlikely (at the moment!) to support any different schedules for dosing nor for 'in between' doses as they are very much following EL guidelines. It was a very interesting conversation and I am happy with my decision to stick with them.
