I didn’t expect to need a new thread in under 2 weeks but here we go!

Thanks for all the support everyone. I skimmed the old thread last night and we have over 80 posters (not a typo) starting in the last 2 weeks! I will work out if I can tag regular posters later but the old thread is close to full so wanted to get this up and running for Friday updates.

W2d2. Ended my first week with a loss of 11lb, not expecting that amount again though 😂. I’m not sure if it’s the change in weather but I’m so cold since taking my jab yesterday! I’m nesh anyway but my body’s acting like it’s -4 🤣

Chunkysewist · 08/05/2025 08:34

@Gabby10 wowzer! Awesome loss!!

@MsRicoletti that's annoying but on the plus side at least you know it's there ready when you are. Although I agree hiding it in the fridge is a pain. I half considered getting a mini fridge for the bedroom but I think the kids would be like flies on 💩 wondering what's in it! 😂

Sunshineandpool · 07/05/2025 17:56

I have had a dry mouth and really thirsty after both jabs for a couple of days. Still thirsty now on day 5 but not as bad.

Well done, everyone on all the great losses!

I caught myself thinking 'oh I need to be 'good' tomorrow as weigh in Friday'. Trying to get out of this disordered thinking! I told myself 'no, I will continue as I have been having healthy and nutritious meals.'

If anyone is following any mounjaro accounts on Instagram - I got bored last night and started one up! 😂 I'm junipermounjaromum 😊

@Sunshineandpool I'll go and have a look. I love looking at everyones insta for meals and inspiration x

Bloody medexpress… they told me to order as massive delays , but it’s been dispatched already. I only ordered it yesterday afternoon !

so annoying as I need to be in to recieve it and I’m out with work all day. Will also have to hide it in the fridge 😕

Same here, mine’s coming today and i’ve left a note on the front door grrr

StartingApril2025 · 08/05/2025 08:44

Morning! Well done to all the losses , great to hear how everyone is doing. For those that are constipated what about a few shots of super strong coffee too?! Usually helps me! I have my period now and feel super bloated and swollen and weighed myself this am out of interest and put on 3lbs , obviously not taking that as real weight but reminded me that the scales too often can have an impact on my mood for sure so defo once weekly or less for me- hard not just jump on to see how it’s going though! Which is the funny thing as for the last year I hadn’t weighed myself out of fear and scales were right back at back of the cabinet 😆
i hope everyone has a good day I have my food for work in- protein yoghurt and granola thibg from Lidl and raspberries, electrolytes, a fibre bar and apple for a snack and for lunch a high protein meal from Lidl too which is 450 cals. Usually on a Thursday I walk to shop at lunch and get a fizzy drink some biscuits for the office etc so will see how I feel about that later- the fizzy drink / sweet taste has been muted a good bit in my head, just don’t really fancy it!

anyone else gone off things they usually have a lot of?

Hawkmoth · 08/05/2025 08:53

Yes: crisps.

This is quite upsetting as I love crisps! I had a small pack the other day and felt really sick for hours.

I was mashing up some avocado last night for breakfast today and had one of those "who even ARE you?" moments. But overall I'm happy to be investing in my future.

violetmondays · 08/05/2025 08:55

Congrats on everyone’s losses!

I haven’t been on here much over the last day or two as I have been in bed with a dreadful flu type illness which my eldest daughter so thoughtfully shared with me. Will catch up on all the posts today.

I have managed to weigh in this morning and have lost 3lb this week which I’m well chuffed about - so that’s half a stone in 2 weeks. I think the flu has helped this week as I haven’t eaten much the last couple of days (I do not recommend this)!

The question is, I’m supposed to inject this morning but I’m wondering if I should put it off a day or two…thinking my body is already going through a lot trying to recover. At the same time I don’t really want to shift my day as Thursdays suit me from a work/SE perspective. What would others do?

Chunkysewist · 08/05/2025 09:05

@StartingApril2025 yes! Crisps and coffee! It's so strange, they were my primary food groups 😂

Chunkysewist · 08/05/2025 09:06

@violetmondays ooh tough call. How are you feeling now? Did you have side effects from your last jab?

violetmondays · 08/05/2025 09:11

wlinewbie0425 · 08/05/2025 07:00

Congrats to everyone on the fantastic new losses posted, big, small and non-scale! Really wish we had a celebrate button as well as thanks, as it’s so hard to scroll while replying on the app to tag names. We are doing amazing at this and it’s only the first few weeks!

also thank you to@ymemanresuand @MsRicolettifor making me snort with laughter before the day even begins with your tales of new visions and alternative inputs 🤣 love this thread.

this is my one day overdue jab 3 day but don’t feel much different to yesterday or in danger of hitting the fridge/biscuit tin yet. Just need to get this work thing out the way and get my next dose in me!

I agree, the app is definitely sub-par, you get more reactions on the computer. There’s love, thanks, and a couple of others. But only thanks on the app for some reason. Celebrate would be great!

Chunkysewist · 08/05/2025 09:06

@violetmondays ooh tough call. How are you feeling now? Did you have side effects from your last jab?

The only thing I really have in terms of side effects is occasional nausea and it makes me really tired for a few days. I’m still feeling pretty dreadful, enough for another day in bed.

Chunkysewist · 08/05/2025 09:24

@violetmondays i think I'd be inclined to give it a day or 2. Especially if you are still feeling ill ❤️ hope you feel better soon ❤️

Congrats on the loss but sorry to hear you've been feeling ill... I can sympathise as I've currently got some kind of mega cold with a constantly streaming nose + gravelly throat... I was wondering the same thing before I did my 3rd jab on Tuesday, but I went for it anyway. To be honest, I think my usual SE (nausea, fatigue) are slightly reduced this week as my body is getting used to the MJ. So, I guess take a call based on how you're feeling + what your usual SE are like - but bear in mind they may be reduced in week 3 anyway

Wishing you a speedy recovery ♥️

BudgieMom · 08/05/2025 09:28

W2D1 still not feeling much bad side effects bar a small headache this morning which is away now. Feel some suppression still want to eat 3 meals just not snacking in between. Will be a test on Sunday having family round for my birthday so there will be cake which is definitely my downfall 😐 hope everyone is having a good week and we'll done to everyone for their great losses!

violetmondays · 08/05/2025 09:30

Thanks @Chunkysewist ❤️

@PeachSnailsorry to hear you’re not feeling well too and good to hear your experience wasn’t bad. Get better soon.

I think I might just delay until tomorrow and see how I feel.

4lb loss in week 2, Jab 3 due this evening. Not sure on total loss so far as my scales were broken when I did jab one - out of battery rather than in final protest! Based on when I weighed for the first order it's 8lb so far, but I didn't jab or a few weeks after ordering and went slightly berserk food and drink wise because I knew I would be starting it! So at least 8 in 2 weeks, probably a bit more. Far more effective than anything I have done before!

That's fantastic, @ellieinfrance

Morning.
Great to hear about everyone’s losses, whether big or small.
W1d6 for me. 1.1kg down so far. Not a huge amount, but good considering how easy this week has been. I have had some side effects, but nothing awful. Just a low level headache and slight nausea. Amazingly, I haven’t had a single snack all week and my booze intake is down a lot.

Im going to take my 2nd jab tomorrow-a day and half early- as I want maximum suppression over the weekends.

You're doing so well!

Sunshineandpool · 08/05/2025 10:18

@violetmondays @PeachSnail sorry you're not feeling well. Hope you feel much better soon!

Sunshineandpool · 08/05/2025 10:23

Morning, gang! Great to hear everyone's positive updates and hugs to those who are having struggles.

I had a difficult evening with my 18yo DS last night. He's struggling with some things and we had a long heart to heart which kept me up late. So I'm pretty tired this morning and still feeling cold! I was going to go to the gym this morning but that's out the window now. I'll have a walk this afternoon instead.

Sunshineandpool · 08/05/2025 10:26

Chunkysewist · 08/05/2025 07:12

W3D3 here. Not been great suppression so far this week but I don't think my appetite has been fully unleashed yet. Sheer will power kept me out of the kids kit kats last night though. I hope there is a chance the suppression comes back for week 4.
Well done on the losses so far everyone! I weigh in tomorrow 🙏

Well done on avoiding the kit kats!

Well done on your loss! Since the change in the weather, I've been freezing. I don't usually feel the cold at all!

I haven't fancied a fizzy drink, either. I was in the shop picking up a few things the other day and was looking at the Graze boxes which I usually love and just didn't fancy one of those either!

You deserve to have some birthday cake 🎂 , a small slice will probably be enough anyway if your suppression is still good.

Ive had a good idea. Going to start to learn how to crochet tonight to keep my hands busy from picking at food and vaping 😁

Chunkysewist · 08/05/2025 10:40

Well my pen arrived all cool packs melted and the packaging temp was about 11°c so outside of the 2-8°c. I've rung the pharmacy and they are going to speak to a manager about a discount on my next pen as 'technically' this one will only be good for 3 of my scheduled doses. I'm trying not to stress.
