Mounjaro and hunger around periods

Hi everyone,
I've been on MJ for 5 jabs, suppression was great in weeks 3 and 4 but this week it feels like I haven't taken anything, food noise is back and I'm hungry all the time. I'm due on over the weekend/early next week.

Has anyone else experienced extra hunger or a drop in jab effects before your period? Trying to figure out if it's hormonal or whether 2.5mg has stopped working for me. I've got an unopened 2.5 in the fridge so really hoping it's time of the month related....

Yes. Mounjaro works all month round, except for the 3 days before my period when it feels like I've taken nothing. I think female hormones are so strong that they obliterate all medication!

Yep definitely hungrier that TOTM. Often gain that week too.

Yes I still get a bit greedy around 2-3 days before my period. I just go with it now tbh. I have been on 2.5mg for 6 months with a steady loss so it doesn’t really do any harm although it can feel like it’s ruining everything!

Yes, hunger increases a few days before. As it did pre MJ. However, the difference is pre MJ I couldn't stop eating, not I just seem to want extra snacks. A few nuts and a bagel seems to sort it out.

Incidentally, I got increased hunger when sick, and after lots of exercise. I am ok with this. Eating a couple of 100 calorie snack is adequate.

I am on 3.75mg, and taking my 12th dose tomorrow. My preference is to have a low dose that works well 90% of the time than have one that works 100% of the time and risk side effects

Yes 3 days before I get hungry, I up the protein and make sure I eat up to my full calorie allowance for those 3 days, also make a concerted effort to get my 2-3lts water a day.

Yes, finding this too. Plus my period is now approx 3 weekly despite being on a pill that previously stopped it.
However, while my weight appears to stagnate or even goes up 1lb during the week, it all falls off & my usual weight loss for the week (2-3lbs) after so assuming it's water weight.

I find the same @stargazer02 on the day my period starts, my weight drops and during that few days I usually have a big loss so when I look back at my tracker I have around a 3lb drop every 4 weeks preceded by a week of staying the same or gaining 1lb.
