ive just had a lovely hour catching up with you all. The maintenance calls with you all. I’ve just ordered another pen from oushk, just to keep in with them. I’m alternating between them and voy and should just sack of voy.

we’ve been on holiday for a week and I’ve gained 0.8lbs apparently, but I’ve been rather backed up so I think that will come off.

Id like another stone off to be happy, family I was with told me not to lose any more, but I can see where that stone will come from.

I have a physio telephone assessment on Friday, until I’ve been seen I can’t do much exercise but I want them to give me support on what I can do.

Holiday eating was interesting, we had a lot of picnic lunches and I opted out of sandwiches and had cold meat, cheese and fruit and veg and then a treat (100 calorie crisps or snack bar). In the evening I cooked, so was able to control that quite well. We bought cheesecake bites and ice creams in Aldi for dessert and they were a great treat.

back to my usual way of eating this week!

I was very worried about getting on the scales this morning, I think that’s where I’ve gone wrong before. A holiday, Christmas, an event where I’ve over indulged, worried about weighing and so things slip. Where I now know I need to face up to any gains and go back to eating normally / less as quick as possible.

someone up thread said about eating off smaller plates, I definitely agree and think it is how I will manage going forward.

@troppibambini6 hi there, I did wonder how many children you have. I have 5, the eldest is 47 in July and the youngest is 33. I was a child bride 🤣
I also have 8 grandchildren, the eldest is at uni and her brother goes in September, and the rest are 14, 22, 11, 9, 5 and 3. It’s full on but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I hope you’ve had a great holiday.

Weepixie · 01/06/2025 14:57

@FurForksSake hi there, it was me who mentioned eating off smaller plates and I know it’s one of those things people have suggested for many decades, and it’s certainly raised my eyebrows in the past, but I have to say it’s really helping me 🤣

troppibambini6 · 01/06/2025 17:00

Its lovely when they’re all together and I’m really looking forward to dd coming back from uni.

@BlondeshavemorefunIm an only child too. I never planned on having so many they just sort of kept coming 😆

@Weepixiethat sounds like a lovely brood. I’ve two grandchildren 9 and almost 2. I’m hoping for plenty more if that’s what my kids want!

Azuresky68 · 01/06/2025 18:49

@Blondeshavemorefun how much should I try selling an £85 tankini on Vinted do you reckon?

owlyboo · 01/06/2025 18:51

@Azuresky68have you tried searching for the same brand on vinted and see how much they’re going for. That’s usually a good start.

Yes I know It was far too expensive but I bought it when I felt the worst about my weight in years. Before the gain I bought some lovely cossies from Tesco and Asda that fit me again now. The joy of being able to buy clothes that fit and flatter again. I have only got 2 black bikinis now from Matalan. Since losing weight I have barely bought any clothes apart from couple of pairs of shorts and a pair of jeans new and 3 strapless dresses from Vinted 😊

@troppibambini6 hi there, I’d love more grandchildren but my lot are finished now with babies, even the one who has my youngest 2.

Im loving you having a child and a grandchild so close in age. It’s very common where I live.

Weepixie · 02/06/2025 00:03

Hi guys, how are you? Is everyone healthy and happy? ❤️

I thought I’d post the newest pictures of me. They were taken yesterday when I was getting ready to take one of my grandchildren to our local indoor snow center for their birthday party.

To say I was shocked by my appearance would be an understatement because although I wore these clothes in the UK a month ago I look completely different in them now. How does that work?

Weepixie · 02/06/2025 00:07

They didn’t work the first time.

Weepixie · 02/06/2025 00:12

Thank you Owly, I’m not a dress down person except when I’m travelling and I never feel very smart in jeans but yesterday I didn’t half have a spring in my step. 😝

and I’ll remove one of the pics as it has some other pics in the bottom that shouldn’t be there. But I’ll repost it.

owlyboo · 02/06/2025 00:13

As you should! What a cool nanna you are! @Weepixie

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/06/2025 00:34

Thanks @Azuresky68

Very trim @Weepixie. Well done - you need a comparison pic. Of aug and now

That really shows me what I’ve managed when I’m feeling a bit meh and fat thighs - I have come a long way. As have you / as have us all !!
