@Blondeshavemorefun you did well selling that swimsuit. Been clearing out my stuff and selling nearly brand new stuff for £2 - £3 in size 12/14. Hardly worth it to be honest, but I have sold about 8 items so far. My Vinted name is Pinkbluebell56 if anyone interested.

poppym12 · 16/05/2025 15:40

I'm not sure I'm ready for a shortish t-shirt yet @Slimhopes- maybe when I get rid of another stone!

I'll keep the trousers as I do like them. I just feel weird in them as they're not oversized on me. I bought 2 other pairs from the same place, all size 14. One fits perfectly, one is a bit too loose and these ones feel snug. Cotton and linen mix though so they might stretch a bit (hopeful).

You're getting close @Blondeshavemorefun, you must be really chuffed!

My shape has changed too @NippyNinjaCrab. I like the clothes styles that are about at the moment as they're what I wore when I felt good about myself (size 10/12 back then) but my waist is a lot thicker now and I don't seem to be losing any weight off my arms. They were always stick thin but seem to have developed into a kind of leg of ham shape.

Also, sorry you fell over @NippyNinjaCrab. I'll leave it as fell over or tripped rather than 'had a fall' as you're not old enough for that 😁.

WWJ here and 2 lbs off so I have lb to go to get into very tip top of healthy bmi.

let’s hope the week is kind to me and I lose it next week

sun is out. Off to bootcamp.

Well done!!

morbidcuriosity · 16/05/2025 16:37

Just found a pair of shorts I brought years ago in the back of a drawer, which were far too small, kept them as I really liked them, for that .. "one day" .

Yep.. far too big now, dam it.. I need to have another clothes sort out..

Weepixie · 16/05/2025 17:18

How is everyone? ❤️

this is just a wee non scale victory story from me.

5 and a half years ago I had WLS, a mini gastric bypass, and though it worked for about 5 months but not to any great extent it really wasn’t for me.

Anyhoo I did lose some weight but my tummy was huge and nothing I did made it get of look any smaller, then about 6 months after my MGB my 6 kg malignant ovarian cysts was found and I then underwent a huge surgery to have it removed. Basically, anything I could live without internally was removed and I ended up filleted like a fish with a huge just under my sternum, to almost at my pubic bone scar. Physically I got over the OP very quickly but mentally I had a complete and utter breakdown that had been a long time coming - my children had psychiatrists involved with me the day the cyst was found as I was so far away far in another world.

The picture below with me in the dark pink top was taken in a family members garden 2 weeks after the surgery on the day my children had slaughtered some lambs to give thanks for my health. The open bit of ground is a huge pit the meat is cooked in for 24 hours and every family has a pit in one of the family homes.

so get back on track, the picture of me in the dark pink top was taken 4 years and 9 months ago and is one of the best pictures ever taken of a very unphotogenic me. I love it and it’s what I’ve visualised as me from then until now - I didn’t know that day I did actually cancer and I can recall standing amongst my family thinking this is the first day of the rest of my life. Then 2 days later I found out it was the start of the rest of my life but it was also the start of almost 5 terrifying years of hoping a cancer wouldn’t come back because it was so rare it was untreatable. And of course now I’m discharged from hospital and yesterday I got back into my pink trousers and managed to recreate the outfit even though the original tops were work out a few years ago.

so here I am where I wanted to be, my first goal so to speak, the last stone I’m aiming for will be my bonus stone and I’m happy. It was world book day and I was on granny duties at school and the sitting down picture was taken during an interview at the gym for a series they’re doing on Mounjaro - how I got to it and what is been like so others can decide if it’s for them or not.

I hope I’ve not blethered too much.

@Azuresky68 others were £10 for used as as mine was tags and knickers strip still in as unworn I thought no sod it. It was £30 so £10 is a bargain. Lots of people fav it. Two asked to buy for £6. I said no. One said £8. I said no and then same person paid £10’for it

i am chuffed @poppym12. Seems ages to go as tho healthy is 1lb I need 6 to get to what I want ideally

that’s a great NSV @Weepixie

blether away. I do

What a fabulous NSV @weepixie - it's like you've come home to yourself after a horrible time. What a lot you've been through.

NippyNinjaCrab · 16/05/2025 20:15

What a lovely post our wee Pixie ❤️ I'm loving these pics!
I've had that with clothes and 2 pairs of shorts I had never worn and they are big ffs! They are so nice and I'm raging haha xx
@poppym12 I'm well known for being a calamity, it always happens to me haha. I skinned my shin on the garden wall yesterday and put a hole in one of the eBay dresses that were recommended on here! No idea what I did, just caught it on something random 🤔 😅
Xx

FurForksSake · 16/05/2025 20:27

@Weepixie a lovely post, and you look great!

FurForksSake · 16/05/2025 20:29

I’ve lost not quite a pound this week. I need to have a think about whether that’s ok, and that my last stone is going to be slow or whether I need to think about getting more exercise.

im aiming for 5000 steps a day still, I’ve got 750 to go for today which will be done walking up and down the lounge. Feels a bit silly but it’s been a busy day and I didn’t get out for my walk at work and can’t be bothered to walk around the block.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/05/2025 20:33

I think the last stone takes longer

@Weepixieyou look fabulous! Sorry you had a tough time!

@FurForksSakeif it’s coming off that’s the main thing!

FurForksSake · 16/05/2025 20:49

True, it is coming off, I just don’t like not seeing the numbers change!

5000 steps achieved.

owlyboo · 16/05/2025 20:49

Well done on the step achievement! I get that but if it’s going down even gradually it’s doing something!

NippyNinjaCrab · 16/05/2025 21:24

@FurForksSake how's your pain been after your injury?
@Blondeshavemorefun I saw that if you email between 12.30 and 2pm weekdays she will give slots for maintenance. Xx

Azuresky68 · 16/05/2025 21:29

@Weepixie thanks for sharing your story and your photos. You didn't blether too much. Loving the colour combo on your photos. The lamb cooked in a pit sounds delicious!

Azuresky68 · 16/05/2025 21:35

Update on Vinted....after uploading quite a few clothes today I made £17.50 as I only sold them for an average of £2! Not sure it was worth the bother but it wasn't hard work. Hen do tomorrow which I am excited about...starts off with a meal and games organised by my other daughter, then axe throwing, then Salsa dancing! I hope I can last the distance!

morbidcuriosity · 16/05/2025 21:50

I came here to ask about oushk maintenance. I just tried to book and I see @Blondeshavemorefun your having trouble too.. I shall try the email way.
I think I want to start sticking with 1 and I'm hearing a few negative things now about IQ Doctor cutting people off..

Is oushk a case of checking every day to see if they free up appointments?

I'm not sure what is happening with the maintenance at the moment, I had mine in January and was a wee bit before goal. She's saying people have to be 4lbs or 2kg from their goal. I'll see if I can screen shot the post xx

FurForksSake · 16/05/2025 21:55

@NippyNinjaCrabthanks for asking, it isn’t great but settling a little. I think I’ve probably got another labral tear in my hip, it will be the third time. So will wait and see if it settles or this is the new normal and I need to be sent back to the professor who’s sorted me out previously. Not sure he’ll be able to do anything this time so might be physio until I need a replacement hip.

NippyNinjaCrab · 16/05/2025 21:59

If you feel you need a replacement push for it! I went private for mine or I'd still be dragging my left leg about ffs! Maybe not as dramatic as that but honestly I couldn't deal with the pain any longer, xxx

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/05/2025 22:15

Ah right. Thanks @NippyNinjaCrab 😘
