Mounjaro and diarrhea

Hello folks
I've been on Mounjaro for eight weeks at 2.5
i had sulpher burps and constipation at the start but otherwise ok until ten days ago when I had sudden onset violent explosive nearly all water diarrhea. Often triggered while I was eating. I thought I'd got rid of it the last few days but I was suddenly hungry and bought a take out salmon teriyaki and noodles and was once more followed by explosive watery poo.
I havent changed doses
. Anyone else had this?

Have you been eating oily greasy food? It is was take away noodles, they are usually much more greasy and oily than what you might cook at home, so you may be reacting to that.

Have you spoken to your pharmacy/provider for help with medication to help control your symptoms?

GI effects on Mounjaro can start at any time. If you are eating I would stick carefully with bland food for a few days which is gentle on your digestive system such as white rice, plain toast, bananas, chicken and work up slowly from there to see what is triggering it. Salmon, which although health fats is still a fatty food, and teriyaki sauce which can be high in sugar and salt was probably not the best choice at this stage.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Could be the noodles, I've seen posts of people getting very ill on pasta, so heavy carbs. Drink plenty of water, electrolytes/energy tablets will help too

I had zero symptoms until about six months in, and then I started getting a lot (although not often enough to stop me taking it). There was a period when even the tiniest amount of fat in food would give me diarrhoea not long after (even just something like a small amount of coconut cream in a curry). The intensity of the symptoms come and go now, but really greasy food is always one of the triggers.

I had similar when I started on 7.5mg. Lasted a couple of weeks and then went and never returned. It’s now months later and my dose has increased with no problems.
