What did you have for lunch then Vs now?

Just had lunch , followed by a decaf coffee. As I was making the coffee it occurred to me just how different my lunch looks on MJ to just a few weeks ago.

Then - cheese, cucumber, salad cream sandwich and crisps. Or bacon, egg and mushroom sandwich and brown sauce.
Coffee after, with at least 2 snacks out of the kids lunchbox stash - 2 finger kitkat, rocky bar etc. Or half a pack of biscuits.

Now - 3 ryvita, sweet chilli philly, crudités, houmous. I'm eating this most days as I enjoy it so much!
Decaf coffee. No desire for a snack whatsoever.

Interested to see others comparisons.

just had roast pork - no different to what I would have had a month ago but today I ate less than half of it and didn’t finish off my kids lunches too!

Eating similar food but half the amount. More fruit and veg and drinkimg loads more water.

No interest in ahit food like crisps or biscuits. I will have one or two then stop. The odd biscuit but again onr will do.

I'm trying to keep good protein sources on standby so I don't go to old default lunches of e.g. jacket potato or a sandwich. Even before MJ I've been trying to move away from carb heavy lunches but I am far more focused now on making sure there is a decent protein portion in there. One key change is that my lunch almost always involved some crisps and I've barely had any since I started MJ five weeks ago.

Typical lunch now is either a piece of chicken or a salmon fillet, with lots of salad, or I have scrambled egg with whatever I find that takes my fancy in the fridge. At work I usually go for a Thai flavoured lentil soup. Today I decided to have a 'brunch' of sugar free muesli mixed with some greek yogurt, a splash of milk and some protein powder - I can't quite wrap my head around these powders and whether they are a good thing, but we had some in the cupboard that my son tried so I thought I would give it a whirl.

Everything I've read says that it is super important to keep up protein intake so that your weight loss is targeting fat rather than muscle, so that's my focus at the moment.

I have, like, a little slice of quiche and a few olives. Or a tomato sliced up with salt and olive oil. Or apple sliced up with cheese. Mad. Used to go for chip butty and an iced bun. Just enjoying the taste of fresh plain food a lot more.

I rarely eat lunch now, maybe a handful of nuts or some berries, and honestly can’t really remember what I used to eat!

When I was in school teaching, I would eat a full hot lunch with the kids but since becoming self-employed I probably went to something like cheese on toast or homemade soups etc. I was on the Fast800 on and off for a while pre-MJ so would have had some of their recipes. Amazing how quickly you forget old habits! 🤷‍♀️
