Mounjaro side effects first few weeks

I'm on to my third week of 2.5mg Mounjaro and wondering if anyone has had similar side effects that I have. (skimming through the posts, lots have similar(ish) kind of issues)
I was fine for the first two weeks, then for the last week have had awful constipation with stomach cramps.
The cramps got so bad I was getting out of bed about 9 to 10 times at night, only to sit on the toilet to only let out a string of farts..
I'm also feeling really lethargic.
Does this resonate with anyone?

Hi Jayngee, I haven’t had stomach cramps but have experienced abdominal tenderness/hardness and wondering should I be worried - I’m thinking about pancreatitis actually but I may be panicking…when I lie flat some of my abdomen feels tender, particularly the left hand side but all over really. There is a hard part half way between navel and the bottom of my rib cage too. I have had 2 doses of 2.5mg of Mounjaro so far. I am currently at 11stone 7lbs from 12stone 2lbs but have hit a weight loss plateau and my weight hasn’t changed for a few days. No other side effects really but wondering if I should wait until the tenderness and hard area goes before I take dose 3. . Will you delay your 4th dose?

Hi, I'd actually taken the third just at the start of the cramps, and can totally relate to your symptoms as I have the same at my lower left abdomen as well as the same area on my back.
I'm not sure how long these symptoms usually last and I'm hoping that they are something that will disappear shortly.
Hopefully other contributors will allay our concerns.

I’ve just come to the end of my 3rd week and am due my 4th jab. Stomach issues have really taken hold the past few days…waves of lower tummy pain and tenderness but still having good motions, if not a little constipated. Going to take some wind ease tablets to see if that might help.

Hi, thank you for posting.
I've had the stomach cramps for a full week now and truly awful constipation. I honestly don't think it's worth continuing with the Mounjaro with these kind of issues.
It's also the tiredness and lethargy that makes me feel that this isn't for me.
I've read in previous posts that Deflatine helps but nothing has eased mine.

I was so lethargic after three weeks I had to give up. I just couldn’t function normally.

Just take senna tablets if you're constipated.
There's no need to stop the MJ so early in the proceedings.

I used Senna for a week to sort the constipation and now have 5 prunes a day to keep on top of it. It's probably that causing the pain but your prescriber should be able to advise if you're worried
