I know we all know this 😁but I'm just having a moment. I did jab 15 today - I started mid January, though did a couple of weeks of trying to eat sensibly before my first dose. I'm just over 3 stone down since the start of the year - I started in the low 16s, and today I just edged into the 12s. I'm still obese! But only just. I can wear size 14s-16s, instead of 20s. I can see my muscles! I can run to catch a bus. I'm sleeping better, I'm mentally clearer, I have so much more energy. I've got a good couple of stone to go, and I know I'm in it for the long-haul, but I feel so much BETTER, and I'm just a bit bloody emotional! Thank God for mounjaro, honestly.

It absolutely is! Complete life changer if it works, which it does for the vast majority of people. I am grateful every day that I found it and can afford it.

Congratulations on your loss so far - such an amazing feeling in control, healthier, fitter - and being able to wear smaller clothes 😊

Goinghome24 · 25/04/2025 13:46

Totally agree! So thankful to have diacovered thia medication which is going to improve the health of so many people who have struggled with their weight all their lives.

The scientists should win all the awards.
Good health for all!

TinglyandCurious · 25/04/2025 14:15

This is so lovely! I’m really happy for you ❤️ I also totally agree - I’m 3st down since beginning of January and BMI from 37
to 31. Just tried on some size 18 jeans that were too big. It’s just wonderful.

tryingtobesogood · 25/04/2025 14:25

It’s amazing isn’t it. I’ve spent so long torturing myself, struggling to lose weight and now it’s just so straightforward. I can see the changes week on week, I feel better, clothes are looser and I am fitter.

it’s the best decision I’ve ever made

Moier · 25/04/2025 14:42

Yes l agree with you all.
I've completely reversed my type 2 diabetes... I'm selling and buying clothes on vinted like mad.. it's like having my own charity shop in my home.
I'm wearing jeans again without the waist band digging in.
I don't need a seat belt extension on planes.
I feel better walking past people in isles in stores etc.
They are hoping to have it in a pill one day.
It's bloody fantastic.

SevernWonders · 25/04/2025 20:22

I really think that this will have added years to my life, I was on a one way trip to diabetes / heart issues through over eating that was out of control.

Somethingthecatdraggedin7 · 25/04/2025 20:39

Totally agree.
It is helping so many people who have suffered with being seriously and chronically overweight to the detriment of their physical and mental health.
So sad then that a life changing, life extending drug which should be feted and available to all in need is instead the subject of moral judgement from the uninformed public to a degree that many patients feel the need to keep it secret from even their own family.

doodleschnoodle · 25/04/2025 20:46

I feel like a new person. I’m a bit further on, I’m at goal weight now and maintaining but it honestly feels like I’ve regained my life. My friend said to me today ‘I don’t know if it’s the weight loss or what but you are glowing, you’ve got so much energy lately and you seem so happy!’

It’s been life-changing for me, truly. My body doesn’t hurt any more when I get up, I can walk 20,000 steps in a day and not collapse, I can jump and run and chase my kids. I can enjoy buying clothes. I eat so well. It’s brilliant! Worth every penny I’ve spent on it and more.

I really think this is possibly the biggest medical advancement of a generation.

Ah thank you for posting this, I am starting tomo morning and I am super nervous, thinking what on earth am I doing etc so love love love hearing all the positivity!!! I hope in a few months I’m be saying the same and reflecting how my life has changed !

UpUpUpU · 25/04/2025 22:08

Well done OP!

It certainly does feel incredible. I have been at target now for 2 months and I feel fab (BMI now 23, down from 30). I went swimming today with my partner (rare we are both free together) and I kept up with him for speed and stamina! He is a 6ft triathlete and I am a 5ft 2in non triathlete! I was pretty please with myself :)

I have also started wearing a bikini at my health club after wearing it on holiday. I haven't done that in 20 years and it feels so fabulous.

Shudacudawuda · 25/04/2025 22:44

Agree OP, it has absolutely changed my life. I feel like me again.
I was in such a rut, no energy, exercise was exhausting, felt miserable about my appearance.
Now I'm 3 stone down, I feel light on my feet, I feel stronger and fitter and I'm loving being able to wear whatever I like without fretting about hiding all the chub.
It's the best thing I've ever done for myself, I NEVER want to go back.

Redlightbulb · 25/04/2025 22:47

I can’t say it’s been a miracle for me……..yet.
Yes I have lost weight but it’s slow. 4 stone in nearly 9 months with 4-5 to go. What it did do is stop my binge eating which I am very grateful for. I have lost 5 plus stone quite a few times before but never quite made it to goal and then put weight back on quickly. What will be the game changer for me is if I can finally get to goal & crucially maintain.

fatgirlswims · 26/04/2025 00:36

Also lost 3stone

what is incredible is the freedom from continuous and obsessively thinking about food and eating. It now in hindsight strikes me that I was seriously addicted to food

I feel I eat normally. I do make healthy choices but it easier to do so. I’ve been on a two week cruise and lost 5lbs and still ate amazing food!

healthybychristmas · 26/04/2025 07:05

I think it's absolutely incredible and completely life changing. One thing I've noticed is that with other threads such as intermittent fasting, low carb, and so on everyone always regains the weight. Think of those low carb threats that run year after year where people would lose a little bit and then put it on again. It was so painful to read them. One thing you notice with this is that people feel confident that if they do put on a bit of weight again they can just use the injections for a little while and will lose it again. I feel absolutely confident that I will never be overweight again and that's an incredible feeling. I am now in a size 12 and have an odd feeling I may be down to a ten at some point. This was unimaginable for decades.

Titasaducksarse · 26/04/2025 07:17

It is. It's the reduction in joint pain for me too that's been amazing.
I've not lost as quickly. 1.5stone in 3 months but I've not gained at all....I seem to plateau then have a big drop. This is the first time I've tried to lose weight I'm not yo-yoing. That feels really healthy long term too.

Fluck · 26/04/2025 07:31

3 stone since January also, my BMI is now 26 so I’m so close to the normal range!

I lost nearly 6st ‘naturally’ in 2023, put on over 4 in 2024, and with the help of Mounjaro I’m only 1st away from where I was. Goal is another 1.5st. I finally feel like I can do this and I’m not burnt out like I was in 2023, this is so much easier and I’m thankful for it otherwise I’d end up putting all the weight back on!

Fluck · 26/04/2025 07:33

Also, when people say ‘you’ll put the weight back on when you come off’ I just think, well you can do that with normal weight loss anyway? Hair loss, that happens with normal weight loss. Loose skin skin etc. The only side effect is the nausea sometimes and I am very tired!

Summerhillsquare · 26/04/2025 07:46

But @Redlightbulbthat is tremendous. Slow and steady wins the race and more sustainable surely. I would never have broken my bad habits without it.

spanieleyes · 26/04/2025 08:19

I’ve lost 3 stone since January too, I still have another 5 to go but, for the first time of dieting, I feel as if there is a light at the end of a tunnel!

Thank you.
The last few months it has slowed down to 3/4 lb a week.
Wouldn’t want it to be a stone a month or anything above 10 really but would like to see 1.5 lb a week given how much I have to lose still.
Recently started exercising so hopefully that speeds things up slightly.

I was so so nervous to start too. I really wish I'd done it sooner. I started mid March and am 24lbs down. 😱 absolutely bonkers!

Mounjaroversary · 27/04/2025 12:30

I say this all the time, it has changed my life in ways I can't get my head around.

I'm 4.5 stone down, went from size 18/20 to 10/12, I can walk and run and jump. I look great in clothes, I feel so healthy and full to the brim with happiness and energy.
It's helped with an autoimmune condition I have, it's made me feel calm and less stressed, and I rarely drink anymore.

God bless mounjaro
