Medexpress prescription

Hello to those who order from medexpress

just wondering 🤔

To us who are using the bonus dose - has the company noticed if you don’t order a new pen every 4 weeks? Or are you all ordering 4 weekly regardless if you still have a few doses left in your pen?

Im wondering if medexpress will stop prescribing if they are aware we use the bonus dose?

Thanks

They must notice! I've been with them 12 months and always used the 5th dose. But I've been over ordering as with medexpress you can order every 2 weeks. I have a stockpile of pens.

It's within the usage guidance to vary your day that you take the injection, people may be unable or forget to take a dose on time and so on, and thus not need to order their next pen until a little later. So, unless you are leaving large gaps between ordering, several weeks, prescribers are very unlikely to make any comment about it, or stop prescribing.

Thank you. ☺️

I am seven months in with MedExpress and use the golden dose. I have two full pens on the fridge at the moment so ten weeks worth.

my ordering hasn’t had a particular pattern but as they now send six needles with each pack I suspect they aren’t too worried!

The spare needles are in case you have a duff one or you attach it incorrectly and damage it, meaning it won’t prime. The instructions will tell you to change needles and try again, hence a couple of spares. They aren’t tacitly encouraging you to use the leftover medication.

When I started it was four - has increased more recently.

but I stand corrected😂. I do stand by my comment that MedExpress aren’t too worried about the golden shot - I don’t think any provider really is.

No I think MedExpress have lots of other things to be more worried about at the moment.

Pharmacies will tell you not to try to use the leftover medication, but they can’t prevent people from trying it. And they can’t accuse people of doing it just because they order a bit later than might be expected.

You can order the same strength with Medexpress within 12 weeks, if you want to move up a dose, you need to order within 8 weeks.
