Help - 5th dose

So, I have just completed my 5th dose. I got the syringes from a link on one of these threads. Using the syringe, I sucked out from the pen, then injected in but it took a few attempts. Immediately a white lump came up, it has turned more pink. It's not sore - about the size of a 10p. The needle of the syringe was a bit bent.
Have I messed up! What should do about the lump? Has this happened to anyone else?

It’s hard to know without seeing but I suspect you’ve injected the medicine very superficially so it’s sitting under the top layer of your skin rather than in the subcutis - maybe because the needle bent on going in. If it’s not painful and you feel ok then I wouldn’t worry. I’d see how it goes and if it hasn’t gone away by tomorrow give your provider a call. I suspect it will disperse overnight though. Obviously I’m a random person on the internet but that’s what I’d do if it were me.

I think you are right. I feel like it hasn't gone all the way in, the needle felt very flimsy.

Ouch! Looks like you had to jab yourself a lot of times. I imagine the medicine will still absorb eventually though. Fingers crossed it goes down and you still get the effects tomorrow.

It had gone down this morning and even more tonight.
its still there so hopefully another few days and it's gone.
no more 5th dose for me!

5th dose should be ok, perhaps try different syringe, can you link to the ones you had?

Those are the ones I use and they are fine.

What do you mean when you say it ‘took a few attempts’?

You could try a very slightly thicker 31G (same gauge as my pen needles) and shorter 4mm or 6mm needle on your syringe (buy separates) for your next pens 5th dose.

Sorry for delay, yes all gone now and did get effects from it.
i will have a look at the other syringes. It could have been more of a user error than the needles!
