After weeks of research and back and forth I've taken the plunge today and ordered my first pen. Like many I'm a yoyo dieter and have been all my life. Since Aug last year I've lost 2st just through healthy eating but the loss has slowed to pretty much nothing since Feb and old habits are starting to kick in.

I currently have a BMI of just over 30 and about 2.5st to loose to bring me into the 'healthy' bmi zone. I just want to be healthy and not have aching knees and back! I'm not looking for a quick fix, I want to loose slowly but consistently.

I'm pretty nervous as I do suffer quite badly with IBS so I'm prepared that I might have some fairly unpleasant side effects.

Does anyone have any top tips for someone who is susceptible to stomach issues for taking it? I'm already calorie counting so I know I need to keep a track of eating enough, and I'm a 3ltr of water a day person anyway and have been for years as a way of helping with my IBS.

I'd read injecting at night might be better? Does anyone have any experience of this. I find my IBS is always worse first thing so I don't think a morning injection is probably a good idea. Thanks 😊

I have IBS or had..as mounjaro has cured it, it reduces inflammation as well as increasing insulin so it benefits in so many ways. Well done for taking the step to change your life.
Some people are triggered by high fatty food and meat like beef, others by heavy carbs like pasta and some by fried, oily or greasy food. Many can't tolerate alcohol anymore too. Might be worth getting some peppermint tea in and ginger and lemon and honey tea for nausea. I take ginger shots every now and again which is great for soothing tummy and for bloating also kefir, but I've actually felt better mentally and physically on mounjaro.
I've injected at night and day, no issues with either and I've not had any side effects in over 6 months. I stick to my calorie deficit and ive gone from bmi 32.4 to 27.0 and its been slow losses but I do have insulin resistance which is finally stable on 10mg.
