I’m so ultra ultra sensitive to medication it’s an absolute nightmare.

l always have loads of rare side effects, and often have to abandon medication.

Can you use small doses on this like start with a half click or something?

Yep, speak to your prescription provider.

I haven’t got one yet! Just doing research first.

A prescriber is unlikely to suggest that you use the medication in a way that isn’t intended.

The starting dose is 2.5mg. If you find that you get unmanageable and lasting side effects with that dose, you can do a smaller dose using the pen. To do a normal dose you twist the pen out to the 1 position marked on the barrel of the pen, before injecting. That takes 60 clicks to do. If you want to do a half dose, you just turn the pen for 30 clicks instead. But as I said, your prescriber is unlikely to suggest using the pen in this way.

Has your doctors diagnosed why you react strongly to medications?

I would declare all this to your provider, including the medications you have had before and the extreme side effects experienced for them to assess the risk for you and get their qualified advice.

This would be a safer and more sensible approach than going off license with no support.

I did. I am similarly very sensitive to medication and took smaller doses to begin with. I never got any D&V. (Though I did get some other side effects). I had no intention of being ill in bed for days or unable to go to work, so I was super cautious.

Some prescribers believe the pharmaceutical companies go in too high, too fast, in terms of dosage. Dr Tyna Moore is one of them. She’s sone loads of YouTube and podcasts on WLI. Here’s one random one.

I also do half doses currently at 3.3mg. I take mine every 5 days, day 1 being the day after the injection. It works really well for me.

The pack insert says you must leave at least 3 days (72 hours) between injections.

That’s great. Thanks you.

I tend to go up half doses to lessen the side effects as the delayed stomach emptying can be a bit too strong for me when going up a full dose.
