Advice - People stayed on 2.5 / supplier

Hi
I am 3 weeks in on mounjaro and my supplier Rowlands Pharmacy have stated that can't stay on 2.5 need to move to 5 and can only stay on 5 for eight weeks and then need move again. I am hoping to stay on 2.5 for as long as I can, so can anyone who has stayed on lower doses advise who to use. I don't mind if not cheapest. I chose Rowlands as in person which I liked idea of and could pick up in store.
Thanks

The 5mg pen is usually the same price as the 2.5mg. If it’s easier for now you could still get the 5mg from them and just take half a dose.
If not check out https://monj.co.uk/discount-mounjaro-price-list/
All pharmacies should let you stay on the lowest dose that suits you though, I’ve used Zava & IQ Doctor for multiple same dose pens with no problems.

Take half a dose and buy the 5mg pen. Or switch because that sounds very rigid and is probably expensive. I’m with Simple Online Pharmacy - absolutely no problem with staying on 2.5 - you just tick a box saying you’re happy to take contrary to manufacturer guidelines and that’s it.

I have been on 2.5 for 6 months now. I use oushk with no issues, I was with med express before that for around 16 weeks.

I’ve been on 2.5mg for 12 months. I’m with Medexpress.

I second the suggestion to get a 5mg pen as they are the same price. You can do a half dose/ 3/4 dose as you choose then. On my second pen I did a 2.5 dose first and slowly increased to 3.75. You have flexibility to increase if 2.5mg isn't working as well as you like, plus with smaller doses you can get 5 doses before the pen expires without having to faff about with syringes

Sorry, full of cold and fuzzy headed so forgot to mention suppliers. My second supplier was Zava and just got my third pen from Pillsorted. Zava sent helpful suggestions to help you to decide whether to move up, stay on same strength or to reduce. Pillsorted saw I was on 5mg currently and approved my second 5mg pen almost instantly.

Check monj.co.uk, they do price comparisons with legit suppliers

I've moved up to 5mg for my second pen so not much help for you but if you are looking for in person pickup i use Asda although they are not the cheapest I wanted somewhere I can collect, I pay £180 but I'll be switching to somewhere that does postal delivery and is cheaper next month now I'm settled on mounjaro

SausageRoll90 · 19/04/2025 09:53

@Fatmumslim01 @cinders222 I use Zava for my pens and no issue with staying on the lower doses. ZAVA are the same people who supply for Asda but if you go direct it's £40 cheaper and I also have a 25% off discount code for 1st orders with Zava(up to £40 off) so the 1st order with them is just under £105 before delivery. PM me and I'll send the code if you like 👍🏻😊

cinders222 · 19/04/2025 12:46

Thanks everyone I might just stick with them this month and take 5 and just administer 2.5 and that will give me a bit of time to see how I am going and decide.

MedExpress let you stay on the same dose for as long as you like. DM me if you want a £40 off code
