Halving doses

I'm on my first pen and have only been taking half a dose, due to the fact that I generally don't react well to medications and have allergies so i wanted to be cautious. I'm due to inject my 4th week and I therefore have a lot liquid left. I have a spare needle, will I be able to get a 5th dose from it? I have more than enough medication but I have read that they are only designed for 4 uses is this correct?

The pen locks after approx 256 clicks rather than 4 doses.

It’s designed for four full doses, the pen locks after 4 lots of 60 clicks plus a couple of clicks each time for priming. You have only used 4 x 30 clicks if you have been doing half doses. So you have used 120 clicks and have 120 clicks remaining. So the pen should do another 30 clicks for another half dose.
