Is it too late for Easter delivery?

As title?

Need my next pen by Friday as was hoping to do golden dose on Fri but suddenly realised that if I can't get it out I'm going to need a new pen ready!

I'm with Asda but would rather switch to someone cheaper if it's not too late I can order tonight but need to be approved and dispatched and arrived by Fri

I ordered from Medicine Marketplace on Thursday evening and it arrived on Saturday. I’ve used them before so presume that might have helped, but even if you need approving I don’t think it would take more than a day or two.

You could try switching to Zava, it was pretty quick when I swapped from Asda to them. Asda use Zava to fulfill their orders anyway, and Zava are always cheaper. Zava send out by RM 24 once they’ve reviewed and approved. If you do the form now and upload photos immediately, then they should review it by this sort of time tomorrow, and then if they send the pen out on Wednesday it should be with you by Thursday, hopefully!

I used simple pharmacy and it was delivered the next day.

It might be a bit hit and miss, especially if you are doing a new customer consultation too as you won't be the only one rushing last minute.

Do you have syringes for your 5th dose? If you do, shouldn't be a problem using it. If not might be worth ordering and seeing if you can get those quickly (not from Amazon)

I use Oxford pharmacy and it always arrives within 48 hours. If you search the internet they usually have a 10% off offer.

Yup got a selection of syringes from ukmedi.

How far in advance can I withdraw it eg could I do it tonight to check it works then leave it in the syringe until Fri which is jab day?

Personally I wouldn't until you are planning to inject. It is nice and sterile in the airtight vial it is in now.

It is really easy to extract. You'll notice when you try a big air bubble, this is normal and comes from the dead space between the syringe plunger and the end of needle.

You'll also notice in the vial when you try to do it the plunger pulls away from the screw and it will resist you pulling the medication out. That is normal too, as you are pulling it out of a vacuum, if there is too much resistance keep the syringe upright and try gently pushing some of that air bubble back in to replace the liquid coming out.

Priming your syringe will remove any remaining air bubbles and check your syringe needle before injecting. Double check your volume ml is what you want before injecting.

It is much easier than it sounds!

If you already have syringes, then you should be fine! All you need to do is to stick the needle through the red seal and extract the liquid. If you order now, your order might not get to you before Easter and could be stuck in a warehouse, in an unsuitable temperature and get to you warm. Wishing you all the best, whichever option you go for.

I have just switched to Pillsorted. I sent my video/past prescription evidence last night at about 10pm, and it's been approved and dispatched already, due to be delivered tomorrow

Fatmumslim01 · 15/04/2025 12:43

Thanks all, I decided to stick with Asda for this month even though it's expensive I wanted to be able to relax about it. I can collect tomorrow, phew!

Will switch next month to somewhere cheaper
