Just moved up to 12 ,had no side effects so far ,and now this .
I'm 52 ,I should be on the way out of menopause.
I've got a month and a half of 12 mg in the fridge.
I'm done with monjroro if this bleeding doesn't stop

I have a Mirena, which is a progesterone-only IUS, and usually have no periods at all. In a year on MJ I’ve had two short, light periods. Oestrogen is stored in fat cells and weight loss can therefore affect cycles. That being said, if the bleeding continues you should see your GP as unexplained bleeding can be a sign of cervical or uterine cancer.

I am 56 and two years post menopause and was fairly meno symptom free until I started mounjaro and lost significant weight. Either Mounjaro or the weight loss, I suspect weight loss as estrogen is stored in fat cells, caused my menopause symptoms to return - hot flashes, low mood, painful joints etc, no bleeding but clearly something was messing with my hormones.

I started HRT in January for the first time and it is helping - I've had one short bleed since starting but that is normal in the first 6 months of HRT, hot flashes are once a week or so instead of 5-6 a night, joints feel better. I would be more tempted to speak to your GP to investigate the bleeding, if it is the weight loss that has triggered it stopping MJ now isn't going to help.

I've been on progesterone only pill for 15 years with no bleeding, and monjroro 6 months , literally going up to 12 mg caused bleeding
I'm hoping it stops
I've lost large amounts of weight before and been on pill and no bleeding,so it's got to be injections causing it .
I thought I was past all this at 52

So like estrogen gets released from fat cells and that causes it .

I had similar, was on HRT and progesterone only pill, within days of starting Mounjaro I was bleeding which became extremely heavy, large clots, painful cramps and it did not stop bar a few days when the doctor gave me a course of Provera to stop it while I had an internal ultrasound to check it was nothing sinister - before the scan doctor advised me to stop the pill which didn’t help, had the scan and first reports were everything was fine and the doctor put it down to Mounjaro side effects however after another examination I have now been diagnosed with Adenomyosis. I had symptoms of this before I was on HRT/pill but previous doctor just put it down to ‘heavy periods, nothing we can do’. Current doctor advised me to stop HRT and restart the pill and bleeding has now stopped. So it might be worth you seeing the doctor just to rule out anything else.

I hope you get it sorted because it’s horrible, my bleeding was so bad to the extent I wasn’t leaving the house for days on end because I was constantly going through my clothes and it was really getting me down thinking it was the Mounjaro because I didn’t want to stop taking it as it’s been an absolute life changer for me.

It sounds like you should see your GP for further investigations, then.

I’m not on the mini pill anymore because Dh had the snip but when I was on it I lost a lot of weight and it sent my periods crazy. I was bleeding inbetween periods and it turned to non stop bleeding. My GP said it was because of my weight loss and it should level out in a few weeks and eventually it did but it was the best form of contraception ever. Saying that MJ does come with a warning it could make the pill less effective so it must do something for that to happen. I’d book an appointment with you doctor or family planning clinic to check, there’s lots of people on MJ now so they might have come across this before.
