Minimal suppression 5 weeks in

I just went up to 5mg last week, due to take my next jab tomorrow (6th overall). Strangely I'm feeling like I've had less suppression this week and it looks like I've even put 1lb on - not reading too much into that as it's been my time of the month but it's still a bit odd. Especially as on a lot of the threads I read, people are struggling to eat anything on MJ even on 2.5mg. I had awful side effects on week 2 but have been totally fine ever since. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced anything similar? I've only lost about 6lbs total in nearly 6 weeks too so it feels a lot slower than others. I had lost 2 stone previously through slimming world so wasn't starting from scratch but just wondering if I should go back to that!

I’d keep going. A lb a week isn’t earth shattering but still going in the right direction without you having to struggle too much. Some people do need to take more of it to be really effective so that may be you. I lost 4.5 stone on it on a low dose but my DH had to take a higher dose for it to work well for him.

Everyone really is different. Some people need higher doses, some lower. It’s not a moral endorsement either way, just people’s bodies reacting differently to the drug. I put on and lost the same pound at the beginning for weeks, then stalled for a month! But 6 months in I’ve lost just over a stone without too much pain. I possibly could have achieved that with a conventional diet, but with a lot more difficulty, self denial and hunger at my age (65). Keep going!

Thank you both, that's encouraging and helpful. Well done on your losses! Yes perhaps I just need to keep going to find my "happy dose" - my appetite really is that big, no surprise it probably needs a big dose to suppress it 😂

I’ve literally done a post, I wasn’t getting any effects from 5, and now I’m taking 7.5, I’m still not feeling the effects x
