Anyone have luck with a refund?
my 2.5 pen didn prime and I tried to inject and reprint and it would not go just stuck
i thought th needle was bust so out on a new needle and a huge amount spurted out and I then injected
comes to week three and the needle isn't priming either because it's another faulty needle or because too much liquid came out
I don't think this is my fault and want a refund for the missing two doses (I basically only got two doses out of the pen)

I meant to ask how you would approach this!

There's a whole extra dose for priming issues so it's unlikely you won't be able to get 4 doses out of it still. How many needles have you tried this time?

I do find some of the newer style pens need a really good hard push on the presser to prime them and quite a bit of liquid comes out - which is fine and won't be any more than it's designed to do.

The medication in the cartridge is sealed at both ends by the red seal and the rubber plunger.

If a huge amount of medication had spurted out without you pressing the dose knob, one of two things would need to have happened - either the plunger would have pulled away from the screw, or somehow (no idea how) air would have replaced the medication in the vacuum between the plunger and red seal and you would have had a very noticeable large air bubble.

If the plunger pulled away from the screw, when you next injected the screw would have just moved to meet the plunger again and you would have received no medication.

I don't understand how what you explained could happen and unless you can explain it to them they are likely not to understand/refund either.

I’m unsure as to why you tried to inject if the pen did not prime to begin with. I honestly don’t think you will get a refund as it sounds like human error on your part. I understand that the needles could have been faulty but priming is only two clicks so you wouldn’t have lost any medication if the pen was primed correctly to make sure everything was working before trying to inject a full dose.

Get a diabetic needle ( Amazon or medical supply website ) they’re 10 for about £6 inc postage , and you get the golden dose too , the extra that’s left at end of week 4 . I couldn’t get oh with twisting the pen but haven’t had any issue since using these . It’s 0.6ml per per dose
