What now when the higher doses are out of stock?

I’m currently on 15mg, been on Mounjaro almost 12 months.

but now it’s out of stock everywhere and so is the dose down.

ive rang a lot of local pharmacies who are saying they can’t take me on as a new patient as my bmi is too low (26.2) even though I can prove to them my bmi was 35.7 when I started.

ive tried cloud, juniper etc and can’t get hold of it anywhere.

so what happens now, I just stop completely?

Could you get a lower dose pen rather than just stop completely?

I had a message from Oushk about this. After trying other pharmacies they suggested either a lower dose every 5-6 days or switching to Wegovy. I’ve deleted it so don’t have the dose but 1.7mg is in my mind

the next lowest dose after the ones that are out of stock is 3 doses lower, I’m not sure whether it would be effective?

doesnt wegovy have a less success rate as it has an ingredient missing that Mounjaro doesn’t? Well that’s what I though anyway

I ordered 12.5 from Cloud yesterday and it just arrived. Can you try 12.5 for now?

i think the suggestion of Wegovy is just as a temporary solution. You could always get the 7.5mg pen, see how you go on that and take another dose if needed. Expensive but keeps you on track

Sorry ignore me - I didn't read properly. Could you get a 10mg pen and make it up to 15mg with extra clicks?

Have you changed suppliers a lot? Is it because you are not a long-standing customer?

I had no problems getting my 15mg pen. I’ve got two in stock always anyway. I changed pens at the beginning and made sure I built up a stock before I got to the 15 mg pen so I would always be a couple of months ahead.

No I’ve never changed suppliers, always stuck with Lloyds.

If Lloyds have the 10mg I think I'd get that rather than nothing at all, whilst continuing to see if you can find a pharmacy to take you on that has 12.5 or 15 in stock.

What about Pharmulous? I think I read somewhere that they support maintenance, but I could be misremembering.

I got a 15mg from IQ Doctor last week, you could give them a call to ask if they have any. I’m BMI 24 so you should be ok

ive never heard of them before, I spoke to them on the phone and they do not have a supply issue like some pharmacy’s and it was £35 cheaper!
