Glp1 Side effects - does this sound normal?

Hi, could really do with an ear. Took first dose of wegovy 4 days ago - 0.25mg. My BMI is just over 30. It's not been good. I haven't been desperately ill but I've not felt good.

I injected into the right hand side of tummy.

Day 0 - immediately after taking my tongue and right arm went tingly. Later that night my feet were burning with tingles when I went to bed. It was really quite bad.

Day 1 - woke up tingling gone. Felt a bit lightheaded. Also felt a bit of nausea on and off but mostly OK. I was tired from such a poor night sleep the night before, so put some of it down to that and I spent most of the afternoon in bed.

Day 2 - felt like I had a solid lump in my stomach all day long. Nausea and bit of stomach ache, plus still lightheaded. Then quite suddenly I felt a real pressure in the back of my head, near to my neck. I had done a lot of walking so put it down to that.

Day 3 - had some diarrhea and stomach cramps, generally felt run down and tired but I was wfh so it was easier to manage.

Day 4 - in the office - I've felt really tired. I have a mild pain in the right of my stomach - under my ribs location. It is very mild, like a twinge. I've also got pain between my shoulder blades to the right. Again very mild though - not severe enough to reach for painkillers. I know that where the pain is, is a risk factor for gallbladder or pancreatitis but I'm not vomiting, and I don't have severe pain (I dont even have moderate pain). It's a transient niggling achy pain, it comes and goes. The pain came on after I drank a latte. I'm keeping a close eye on it. Can't figure out if actually the pain in my back is from bad posture, and whether the stomach pain is just stomach pain. A colleague commented that I really didn't look well today. I've also felt cold on and off.

On top of the above I feel bloated, full of gas, and I had the most horrendous fatigue after I ate lunch. I've felt almost surreal all day - sort of woozy in a light headed, but not faint sort of way. It's like my whole body/mind has slowed down. It's really hard to describe. If I didn't have all the other side effects, I'd say it was quite a nice relaxed feeling but with all the other side effects I just feel weird and not right!

I've been drinking loads of water and my diet has been entirely clean - no junk food.

Writing it down it maybe doesn't sound that bad but really it's been an unrelenting feeling of malaise since I took the injection. I thought it would be the first day or two but I actually feel like the side effects are getting worse rather than better. Also given its the first dose on the lowest mg - I'm just wondering whether this is all a bit much to continue? Or whether lots of people have a bad first week with similar symptoms that do get better?

Not sure if I'm being a big whimp and everyone has this? Or whether this does sound like - perhaps it's not for me sort of thing?

I should add the day after I took my first injection - my period showed up! So that maybe hasn't helped things. Do people get worse side effects when they're on?

Should also add - day 1 I had the worst headache I've possibly ever had. The headache has been on and off since.

Also with the light-headedness, I get whooshing with it too - I don't know how else to describe it apart from a 'whooshing effect'.

Oh interesting.

When I was first on Wegovy 0.25 every Sunday day after injection I used to get taken back to my spinal injury days by Monday I’d genuinely wake up fine. It was horrible but it stopped when I went up to the next dose. I put it down to walking and then doing a swim so maybe over doing things.

The pharmacist who I buy from said not to go up in dose if I can so I’ve remained on 0.50 do they foresee stock issues or it maybe because I’ve been on the older GLP’1s in the past.

I keep getting a metallic taste come up but I’m unsure if that is because I’ve been unwell anyway, am on Amitriptyline of an evening or just have a fibroid growing.

I’m a bit disappointed there have been no firm gynae studies knowing these injections have been around now for what over 10 years. I was watching one of those old c5 benefit programmes from what appeared to be 2014 time and blow me down a diabetic was talking about their insulin and a Victoza pen was actually in the background.

I wouldn't expect the pain could be gallbladder as the evidence suggests issues with gallbladder comes from rapid weight loss rather than a side effect of the drugs themselves. The dodgy stomach isn't totally abnormal some people do experience that. The lightheadedness could be lack of food so if you've dramatically cut calories that could explain that.
The tingling and lump in stomach, doesn't really sound like the most common side effects. It could be fine but considering everything I'd really recommend you check in with your provider and get some proper medical advice.

Feel a bit better this morning. Pain in shoulder and tummy seems to have gone.

See how I go after I eat something.

Yeah I can reach out to the pharmacy. But guess there going to say well either stop taking them or put up with it. I'm on the lowest dose so they can't tell me to move down.
