Hi I’m on wk2 of 2.5mg and just doing my food shop for this week online. Looking for inspiration on ideas of snacks or small meals? I’m vegetarian but inspiration can be for everyone who is interested 😊thanks.

Protein yoghurts, salads, nuts, and then veggie protein such as tofu, Quorn etc.

I’m really enjoying humous and veggies to dip in it. Lots of salad of course, stir fry and curries.

Air fried cubes of tofu that have been marinated in herbs, spices and liquid smoke.
Piatnica High Protein Cottage Cheese
Quorn slices rolled around sauerkraut.
Scrambled eggs made with eggs mixed with Fage 0% Greek Yogurt and served with mushrooms, peppers and spinach and some kimchi.

15-25g of nuts/seeds every day, along with a single square of Lindt 90% chocolate and a piece of fruit.
Kefir yogurt with defrosted berries (or fresh berries on grocery delivery day).

Have a look on the ‘what I ate today’ thread for ideas!

During the winter I have vegetable and lentil soup for lunch several times a week, now it's spring my easy go to lunch is cottage cheese on ryvita with carrot sticks and an apple.

Longley farms full fat cottage cheese (Morrisons, Asda, Iceland, home bargains) it is unlike any other cottage cheese out there and is delicious.

Full fat Greek yoghurt (not Greek style, the proper stuff)

Boiled eggs

Fibre One peanut butter popcorn bars from Lidl, 79 calories and actually taste nice.

Im not vegetarian so also like having Ember Chilli Rub Biltong and cooked sliced chicken and other deli meats in the fridge.

I don’t really have any “go to” foods as such. I feel my body generally tells me what I need and the type of food I eat hasn’t changed that much.

Yesterday it was fish pie; the day before steak and chips. Some mornings I’ll fancy porridge, other mornings egg on toast, others marmite or jam on toast. Sometimes I’ll fancy some oranges, other times kiwi fruits…..

The main difference for me to pre-Mourjana is that I’ll eat less in terms of quantity, and slightly less sweet cravings (though I still get them and enjoy them sometimes eg apple crumble yesterday).

Natural yoghurt with a tiny bit of honey for Breakfast. And I have a lot of protein mousses-I know they aren’t great in times of sugar/sweetener but they are easy. And I drink kefir as a snack at work -surprisingly filling and I think it’s helped with stomach related side effects.

Almonds - (and other nuts and seeds) add these to salads to help boost calories

Banana - I thought bananas would land heavy on my stomach but they don't. Good for potassium and high calorie when struggling to get the cals in. I genuinely feel like they give me an energy burst after.

Eggs - boiled or scrambled. Good for protein boost - again add to salads for protein.

Avacados - same again - high calories

When you don't want to eat and can't manage much - you want really calorie dense food.

I'm really focusing on ditching all ultra processed food. The only exception to this is my protein shake. I get the Fast800 one.
