Pen jammed, needle stuck

Hello!
any advice.
i just primed the pen twice but no medicine was released (was not a new one!. I twisted to one to inject but the plunger would not move. I tried around five times. I changed the needle and dialled the counter back to one (about three clicks) and a huge spurt of Mounjaro spurted into the air. The pen then worked to inject - but now the needle won't come off!
Any advice?

I inject insulin 4 times a day and sometimes have problems with pens not working if I've put the needle on a bit wonky. In the back end of the needle is one which punctures the membrane on the pen. It does need a very careful application at 90 degrees

You don’t pull the needle off, you ‘unscrew’ it

Next time, don’t try to inject if you didn’t successfully prime. It means there’s an issue with the needle. Change the needle again, and prime again, until you get a drop or small amount of medication released. If nothing is released, change the needle again and repeat as necessary until it does actually prime.

And yes, the needles unscrew rather than pull off, and be very careful to push them on straight when you attach them.
