My GP has just given me the green light to start on mounjaro. Can any one recommend a decent company to use? Thanks

I've used both Zava and Medexpress and they've been great. Happy to DM you a discount code if you want. - I'd benefit too. 😃

Have a look at the price comparison site https://monj.co.uk/mounjaro-price-comparison-by-monj/ for a list of suppliers.

I have used Asda, Zava, and use Pharmacy2U for NHS prescriptions.

Some pharmacies do a subscription model, so be sure you know what you’re signing up for. Most places wait for you to reorder your next dose and let you choose what dosage, but the subscription ones will send you the next injection pen every 4 weeks and they will assume you want the next dose up each time, unless you tell them otherwise.

@SandwichMakeryou're not allowed to post discount codes or links here, your post will be deleted. There’s a specific board for posting weight loss promo codes, so this board remains for support rather than hawking referral codes/links.

SandwichMaker · 27/03/2025 18:27

Sorry about that, didn’t realise 🙈

@SilenceInside I'm with Asda and I'm debating switching to zava as Asda use zava anyway and zava direct is £40 cheaper!

Do you know if zava offer contact with any questions? I'm really impressed with Asda as I get regular emails with tips etc and I can message a doctor with any questions and get a reply within 48 hours. Are zava the same?

SilenceInside · 27/03/2025 18:59

@Fatmumslim01Zava are exactly the same as Asda. It’s the same website and the same emails just without the Asda branding. Emails sent at the same time with the same content. You have exactly the same messaging system and the same ability to message a doctor. Just without Asda written in the top corner. So it seemed like a no brainer to me to swap to Zava direct, and it’s been absolutely fine.

Fatmumslim01 · 27/03/2025 19:18

Another question if you don't mind @SilenceInside . Do zava only do post delivery? Can you pick a day? I like with Asda you can collect in store on a convenient day but I think with zava it just comes in the post? Id rather not have it arrive when DC home tbh

SilenceInside · 27/03/2025 19:29

With Zava you can't pick a day, it comes via Royal Mail cold delivery, there's no other option to choose. It's not an issue for me thankfully as I WFH and the RM postie here is pretty reliable. They normally are pretty quick at approving and getting it sent out.

It's a plain box with nothing on it to indicate what it is, other than a small "Keep refrigerated" sticker.

Skinni · 27/03/2025 20:08

Should I be looking for a discount code for Zava - or is its published price the cheapest already?

SilenceInside · 27/03/2025 20:12

@Skinni You can get a new customer referral for Zava, which is the largest discount for a new order, it's 25% off (up to £40). As an existing customer I do have a referral code I could give you via a PM, or you could find one on the weight loss promo code board, or you could use the one currently published on https://monj.co.uk/discount-mounjaro-price-list/

Skinni · 27/03/2025 20:16

Many thanks -- another quick Q - do the prices increase with increasing dose?

SilenceInside · 27/03/2025 20:21

Yes, usually the higher doses are higher priced. Often companies price the 2.5mg and the 5mg to be the same price, or very near. It jumps a bit for the 7.5mg but that is often the same price as the 10mg. Then similarly, the 12.5mg is more expensive again, but often the same price as the 15mg.

With Zava, after your first order, you can always get a £20 off discount code, it does change sometimes, but there is always one available.

Namechange546 · 27/03/2025 21:41

It depends what you are looking for OP. If you just want the pens, the price comparison site is good. I use Medicine Market Place and they have been good.

If you are looking for more support, I've heard good things about Second Nature. Or there may be a local supplier - my local aesthetics clinic has a weight loss clinic and gives lots of advice and support as well as prescribing the pens. However, these are expensive options.

IHateMozzies · 27/03/2025 22:18

I’ve used Superdrug, Medexpress and IQ Doctor. All similar level of service, all good.

Justformounjaro · 27/03/2025 22:26

I’ve used Farmeci and then IQ Doctor. Quick turnaround with both. Had to do a video with my passport for Farmeci, and front/side pictures with IQ Doctor if that sort of thing bothers you.

I am currently researching the various providers to start Mounjaro. It seems a long way off but it seems not all of them offer a maintenance programme. I may or may not want one when the time comes, but was wondering if people have any experience of starting a maintenance program and /or ease of changing providers to accommodate this.

I thought I read elsewhere that Zava has changed their stance and now not possible?
was certainly a nightmare to move to them when I wanted to take advantage of their cheaper pen and my BMI had gone down from obese to over weight…..

strongermummy · 28/03/2025 15:49

Pharmacy2u was good for my first pen. They have a number to call. Some good videos. Simple process to sign up. Not the cheapest overall but helpful for someone starting.
my best mate just went into her local pharmacy and arranged via them. She is super happy with the service.
