Hi looking for advice I have a 8 month old and 3 year old I have ordered the mounjaro pen just recieved it a little while ago but it's been sitting in fridge I am worried about side effects because of having kids to look after so just wondering people with young kids what time did you inject at? My oldest daughter stays overnight at her grandparents on a Tuesday night and comes back on a Wednesday night so not sure if I should do it Tuesday night 😅 x

You have no idea if you’re going to have any side effects , I didn’t have any until moved up the doses and even then they haven’t been bad at all, and certainly haven’t affected my life day to day ,
I’d do it asap, if you don’t try you’ll never know

I have been on it since April and from a size 22 I am now a size 10.. I have had 3 days of constipation in all that time .. it is a miraculous drug . I am now the size I was before kids …

Inject tonight.

Most people don’t get any side effects for at least 24 hours.

You might not get any bad side effects at all.

Good luck!

Inject once the kids are in bed. If you feel rough you can have an early night.

You don't know what side effects you will get or when they will kick in but few people have side effects that are problematic. Mainly it is just that you might need to take ibuprofen/immodium/rennies/dulcolax. Most of us continue with day to day life and work as usual.

I started mine three weeks ago. I don't feel I've had many side affects at all. I'm exercising daily, have an odd glass of wine, whereas before I could put a bottle away, my food intake is very healthy and minimal.

Go for it or you never will.

OMG this is amazing, well done!

How did you feel going up in mgs? I've been on it 3 weeks and about to go from 2.5 to 5mg. I've been absolutely fine on 2.5 otherwise I wouldn't have been keen to step up.

I've gone from a size 18 to 8/10 since August last year and have had zero side effects. Just bite the bullet and do it, there will always be a reason not to. I hope you get minimal side effects and it works for you.

The worst of the stomach issues usually come from what you're choosing to eat. I highly recommend staying away from fatty foods. You might discover other foods which don't agree with you, but that's a good start.

I've never really had bad side effects. Mild nausea but it's manageable eating plain crackers til it goes away.

I didn't have any issues at the lower doses.

Fatmumslim01 · 24/03/2025 19:15

I had my pen in the fridge for a few weeks as I was so scared of side effects but I injected at 3-4pm on Friday, had nausea Saturday but apart from that no side effects apart from those I wanted of nonfood noise and reduced hunger and I feel fantastic!

Zempy · 24/03/2025 19:17

Good news @Fatmumslim01 . It’s like a Magic Switch isn’t it?

Absolute witchcraft 😂 feel like whatever was causing me to crave food has just gone...I keep saying to my husband is this how normal people feel about food ??!!

Zempy · 24/03/2025 19:39

Yes, exactly that! I now understand why normal weight people think people like me are just disgusting and greedy.

Now I have something approaching a normal appetite and it’s a revelation.

Raindropsandeardrops · 24/03/2025 19:42

As someone who needs to lose weight I have seen quite a bit about this. Is it safe and tested? I'm keen to try but I'm a worrier!
