Broken pen after second dose 😡

I went to get third dose and when doing test but my pen just would not move. I tried a few times went back to it to try again.
I thought would just waste a dose and clicked the pen onto 1 dose however it didn’t seem to click as usual and then again no fluid came out. I then noticed the end of the pen the rubber bit the fluid seemed to be pooling there. Not happy to try again or use it but very miffed paid a lot of money for 2 doses.
I have contacted supplier so watch this space. Has it happened to anyone before ? I didn’t do anything differently than all the previous pens .
hoping the send replacement as obviously faulty. I sent photos to supplier too.

If no liquid comes out when priming, then try changing the needle. That is what usually causes the issue, rather than the pen itself. Perhaps by twisting all the way to the 1 position, and then forcing the pen down, with a possibly faulty or incorrectly attached needle, the pen may have broken at that point.

If you still have medication in your pen, and you haven't thrown the pen away, you could buy separate syringes to extract the remaining medication. Especially if you have 2 doses left in it.

I agree with @SilenceInside It sound like you had a faulty needle. It's happened to me twice now. The pen won't click and won't prime. Definitely try a new needle first.

Yes I tried 2 different needles have opened the other new pen now wasn’t happy with the end of it all swollen and wasn’t clicking properly either.

Just buy diabetic needles from Amazon , extract and use.

I would buy syringes from a pharmacy rather than Amazon. I’ve used UK Medi without any issues.
