Golden dose question

I did a search but can't find the exact answer. I'm on my first pen so haven't done this before. Do you use the same needle to take the medicine out of the pen and to inject? Asking because i am worried what of some of the red rubber gets in the needle or of the needle is damaged by extracting.
Would it not be better to use 2 separate needles? And then maybe the one used to extract can be a bigger one while the injecting one stays as 4mm?
Any recommendations of where to get these online? Amazon is so full of shit I am not sure I trust anything from them...

Shorter finer syringe.

Or you can buy luer lock 1ml syringes from the same site and separate needles if you prefer to use two needles and/or a short needle to inject.

The higher the gauge the finer the needle. Look at your pen needles tab to see what gauge they are and you will find something similar on the site.

I used similar needles as pp.

I pushed the needle through the red bit (this is what happens with the normal needles too) and draw up as much as I could. I then primed my insulin needle by tapping the air to the top and squirting out the liquid to the 0.6ml line.

Personally I would use two separate needles. In a hospital setting we use one to draw the medication up and a fresh one to inject.

I’ve never had an issue using a single syringe but some people use this type of syringe so you can change the needle.

Thank you all! I've ordered the syringes and twice as many needles so i can extract and inject separately. Hope I have the courage to go through with it!

The syringes, especially with the same length needles you are used to with your pen are easier to inject than the pen which I find really awkward at times.
