This is our 8th month - gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly - some are at goal - and working out maintenance - some nearing it and some still have weight they want to lose - but ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

@Blondeshavemorefun I was on 5 for about 3 pens and the food noise had started to increase quite noticeably. I moved on to 7.5 11 Jan, having lost 3 st 4lbs, and since then I have only lost around 7lbs. My first 10 was on Sunday. I found 7.5 has made my gut very sluggish.

Most days I may not have breakfast or I have it late around 11 and if I do it will be an Activia yogurt with granola or a slice of toast with Jam (around 200 cals). Lunch is very often Soup - around 1-200 cals or crackers with cream cheese and smoked salmon (3-350 cals). And a snack would be a banana or a KitKat (100 cals). Dinner would typically be homemade curry (500), all weighed out, or salmon fillet, mixed veg and veg rice or steak, salad & Jct Pot (5-600) etc. I may have a protein drink or a dessert (150) but rarely over the 1500 in total. But I have fallen off drinking water.

My TDEE is around 1,963 so minus the 500 for loss then the 1500 is about right. Just a bit stuck. I am quite sedantry so I know I need to up the exercise.

Around 5 ft 11 - have had that and 5 ft 10 at the drs recently 😂

7lbs in 12w or so is a bit poor. I agree so can understand being pisses off.

water really makes a diff I find

ah. You are 4inch taller than me

maybe start having breakie to kick start body - even a yog or protein shake

@Mum0ntherun I'd try cutting out carbs/processed and upping protein and veg - even if just for a couple of weeks. Not because you're eating anything particularly terrible, but things like jam, kitkats, crackers etc are really upping the carbs for not much nutritional value. You could try replacing jacket potato with pulses or replacing granola with some nuts and seeds to cut out a lot of the hidden starch and sugar. You may find you're not sensitive to these types of simple/refined carbs and it doesn't make much difference, but it makes a big difference to me in terms of weight loss and how hungry I feel. Worth a shot for a week or two in any case. Sticking to the unprocessed and complex carbs like pulses etc is a good way to up your fibre and protein in any case.

Thanks for the positive vibes today and letting me offload. I very much use work as my safe place and use it to escape the relentless crap that life throws at me constantly. I’ve had positive feedback throughout the year, top performing, no concerns, so yesterday was a blow.
I will try to be kind to myself, day by day, maybe hour by hour and hopefully will get myself back on track MH wise. Work wise, I will give myself a break, work to rule as the extras got me nowhere this year. This will give me headspace as work is also stressful.

@Usernamechangeforthis12 it all sounds so hard for you and I hope you get some peace of mind and heart soon.

You mention a school for your son - if he is on the spectrum and everything is manifesting itself in very changeling behaviour, there’s nothing I haven’t experienced with my darling boy who’s now in his 30’s and there’s nothing I haven’t been on the receiving end of either. If any of that sounds familiar I’m happy to listen if you’d like to offload via PM.

im a busty blonde tho they do look like sad spaniel floppy ears with no bra

but these are good fit if anyone needs one for summer

I see seem to measure 34 when measure but 34 is far too tight and boobs bulge over top

Ok. So I’m about 3 stone 10 down and starting to get a bit frustrated with the slowish weight loss.
No loss for 3 weeks & about a stone down since Christmas.
I wouldn’t mind if I was close to goal but I still have 4-5 stone to lose. I don’t want to lose mega fast but would like to see 1.5 a week consistently.
I think it’s time to move up a dose as have been on 10 for 4 pens now.

I am still generally eating healthy but food noise is creeping back in and my portion sizes have gone up a bit.

I have 3 more doses of this 10 pen left plus the bonus so what I have done is inject 11.25. this week. That gave me a bit more suppression than I have been experiencing the last few weeks but still not marvellous.
Also ordered my next pen and it’s a 12.5.
But what I really need to do is get my lazy butt into exercise.
I keep putting it off but the slowing down of losses is pushing me to start.
A few years back I used to go to the gym 3x a week and did enjoy it. It’s just the starting up again is tough.
My ultimate goal is to change my body shape / get fitter as well as lose the weight.

You sound similar to me. But I am probably eating a bit more.

My fluid intake is also poor.

I used to drink loads before MJ and have found that this drug has affected my thirst levels.

I wonder before if I over drank to ward off hunger pangs & yes to more exercise!

4pens so 4mths is a lot on one amount

if portions are bigger maybe weigh/measure for a few days

@Mum0ntherun I was going to post last night to ask about your exercising but I went out to chase some horrors who were letting of fireworks instead.

Your TDEE is quite low and I did wonder if it had been calculated as a sedentary person. I’m 5’8” tall and mines is about 200 calories a day more than yours but it’s calculated as someone who excercises 3 - 5 times a week. So yes I think upping your excercise, and don’t forget it can even mean just moving more going about your day, would be great for you and the scales.

You can also log activity calories seperate to the calories you can have daily, or that you eat daily. I think I have 200 and sometimes I eat them and k sometimes I don’t. It’s up to the individual what they do.

I think you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned excercise and fingers crossed you’ll very soon be seeing happy results on the scales.

I have to make more of a conscious effort to drink my water as the Mounjaro has definitely altered my tolerance for it. I never thought I’d be in this situation as I live in the Middle East and have been a prolific water drinker for decades.

I find I can get more into me if I flavour a big bottle of it with even a teaspoon of vimto or lemon barley water. It just takes the harshness of it away, the heaviness, and yes I know that sounds bonkers 🤣

Yes it is time to move up!
What puts me off is side effects in particular after I have moved up in the past I tend to get worsening stomach emptying for the first couple of days after injecting leading to sulphur burps, reflux and some vomiting in the night.
I am more leaning towards doing a pen on a half dose increase to gauge how my body reacts.
My ideal is to lose half a stone a month.
So a stone over 3 months is alright could be worse I know.
If I only had a couple of stone to go then I would be happy with a 1lb a week.
1.5-2 a week would be perfect for me..
haha but I know we can't always rush these things.. the important thing is to get there in the end and maintain.

I should have bought ones ages ago.. but going to get an insulated water bottle to put on my desk along with some ice cube trays.
Hopefully that will encourage me to drink more.

Nothing wrong with drinking juice as well as water if it helps. I like water so happily drink it

also do like the watermelon juice from Aldi

I like water as well and very rarely drink juice (it’s full of sugar) but Mounjaro has changed the taste and weight of water for me but adding a teaspoon of Vimto or lemon barley water makes it feel right. Bonkers, I know.

my weight loss seems to have massively slowed down. I think I need to increase my activity but recovering from a sprain makes that hard.

I’ve ordered some cheap clothes bits from vinted to tide me over. I am hoping 12 won’t be my final size so feel like it’s a good option.

I rarely exercise due to my ankle tho so bootcamp once a week since new year but take it at my own pace not sure if I will lose anything Tom as has MB birthday fri , family party sat ,md food sun and cake most days - I think I stayed in my cals but def eaten more then usual so if I sts remind me of this tomorow please while I Sulk

@Blondeshavemorefun OK we will allow a bit of sulking but at least you know the reason for STS or gaining. Fingers crossed you don't. Cake is the enemy for me. Went for a great walk in the Yorkshire Dales today then to a tea room. My friends had lovely cake but I didn't feel deprived at all! Still got a bit of an upset tummy...it's been over a week now 😱
