Mounjaro dosage

Apologies for the potential stupidity of this question. I'm due to receive a new set of injections on an increase dose of 5mg. I feel ready for it. I still have 3 injections of 2.5 to take. Obviously they're expensive and I don't want to waste them. Can I inject twice at the same time to get a 5mg dose? I'd use new needles.

It's not clear what you're asking or what position you're in. Are you saying that you have done only one injection of 2.5mg ie you have done one week of using Mounjaro, but already want to increase the dose to 5mg?

How many 2.5 have you taken in total? How many pens have you already had?

@idrinkandiknowthings to answer your question, you could of course do two 2.5mg separate injections to make a 5mg dose if you wanted to. But it's not clear whether you've done 4 weeks of 2.5mg yet. I would advise you to complete the 4 weeks on 2.5mg before going to 5mg, as per the standard dosing schedule that the manufacturer and suppliers advise.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear at all!
I ordered another set of 2.5 after my first set because I was quite ill and didn't want to increase the dosage. The sickness then settled down and I asked Medexpress if I could order a set of 5mg, which they agreed to do after a specific date. The 5mg is en route but I still have three doses from my most recent set of 2.5 left. Hope this makes sense, I confuse myself sometimes!

So I've taken 5 at 2.5 already.

I order from two different places one said my ID was not accepted - but then sent them anyway when I had already gone elsewhere so ended up with two lots. I have just kept them in the fridge and was intending to perhaps use them in the future when - I potentially move on to a maintenance dose. You could double up so you are using the older order first but as they keep in the fridge - I would find it easier to just use the current ones.

So, yes you could take 2 x 2.5mg if you wanted to move onto 5mg sooner rather than doing another 3 weeks of 2.5mg. Or, you could do another week on 2.5mg, then do the double dose the following week. That would use all the doses in the pen.

But, if you're doing ok on the 2.5mg then you could just finish the pen normally, before starting the 5mg. Depends on how you're finding the 2.5mg is working for you.

Ah ok.. do you have syringes? . With 3 2.5 dose left , you could do 2 weeks of 3.75 instead ready to start you 5mg .. maybe that will be better?
