I’ve had my first request for mounjaro refused even though I fit the criteria of 30+ bmi, I’ve asked why but I’ve not had a reply in 2 days. Should I order from somewhere yet or wait and see if overturn their decision?? I’ve not had my money back yet but it was a genuine place I know people have used so I’m not worried about being scammed

@ramron do you have any slightly unusual circumstances eg medication or health conditions that might have affected T the prescribing decision? Were your photos showing your figure, not it baggy clothes or in black?

I’m going to hazard a guess and say medexpress…

Try somewhere else!

Why? Are they not good?

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 10/03/2025 20:19

@Hotpinkangel19 they are a large company who seem very risk averse. It is often a case of ‘computer says no’ when other, smaller pharmacies with an actual pharmacist/doctor looking at a consultation form would be more willing to discuss.

On top of that, there are the issues of bloody referral codes and TikTok influencers that have led them to be reprimanded by the GPhC. Not a pharmacy I would go near myself!

Thank you.

A pharmacy prescribing drugs with only what the patient has said as medical history being risk averse?

The horror!

Surely you understand that this is not what the previous poster was saying? Is there a reason or an agenda for picking on this comment and interpreting it in this way?

It's clear that the point was about some pharmacies who apply very simple blanket exclusions, for business reasons, rather than consider each consultation on it's individual circumstances as reviewed by a qualified pharmacist. Which is common for larger pharmacies to do, as the PP has explained clearly.

When I go to my GP or to the pharmacist on the high street, they make decisions based only on what I say, without any other evidence. No different to this.

I used Chemist4U the first two times on 2.5 but their price seems quite high for 5mls so I decided to switch to Zava as I've heard good things about them.

I filled n the consultation this morning and got an email back asking for three photos. Did them on my phone and was approved a couple of hours later.

It wasn’t. They approved me and it arrived yesterday
