Currently on week 10 and have lost 22lb.
But I am stuggling with exhaustion. Anyone else feel like this? Usually lasts 3-4 days post jab.
Just received my next pen 7.5mg (2nd 7.5mg) and dreading it.

Im eating well, having multi vitamins, electrolytes etc.

Slept for 13 hours last night! Currently debating a nap....

You could try dropping down to 5mg or somewhere between 7.5 and 5mg to see if that makes a difference. Were you as exhausted on 5mg?

I am in week 25. Three stone lost.

the exhaustion was bad at the beginning. Some nights it was a struggle to not go to bed before 8pm!

It has now passed - but it took a while. If I remember correctly it took about three months to pass. Although I never have sleepless nights on MJ like I did before - I fall asleep pretty instantly and get much better, deeper sleep.

Thanks both.
I may try dropping down to 5mg. I felt tired on that dose but this is ridiculous. I fell asleep in the car (I wasnt driving) and even if I nap I still sleep all evening. The sleep is great but feel foggy for more than half the week and by the time I am getting more lively its time to jab again.

Medically I really need to stick at this due to issues with my spine so carrying extra weight isnt ideal. Pre Mounjaro and spine issues I had energy for exercise, regular gym user but now I am limited to very little weight bearing exercises and cardio doesnt invigorate me like it previously did.

I had this in the first 1-3 months - 5mg was the worst. But it levelled out after a while. I stuck to an exercise regimen throughout.

I wouldn't be so quick to put it down to the MJ tbh, I think a visit to the GP would be a good idea.

Heydiddlediddlethe · 12/03/2025 18:29

Yes i’m in my third month of doing MJ and the side effects are tiredness/lethargy/muscle ache. These stop me from doing much including being as active as used to be so almost voids all the benefit of being on MJ. Have lost quite a bit to start with but not so much in the last month.
Once i get to day 5 i start to feel better again until i inject again 😵‍💫
I guess we need to weigh i. pros/cons

Are you cutting down on carbs? I was really struggling with being tired for the first couple of months but found that eating more carbs, particularly potatoes, really helped. I'm 9 months in now and don't have tiredness issues any more. Hope you manage to find a solution

With a loss of 22lb in 10 weeks you are losing an average of over 2lb each week. Perhaps your calorie deficit is too much and draining your energy. I would try upping your calories and aiming to lose only 1lb a week (some weeks you might stay the same and other weeks lose 2lb but aim to average only 1) and see how that goes.

I have moved up to 7.5 mg fairly recently and had two awful days of nausea. For the first time. I was like the living dead.

So I shall be lowering my dose and build up again gradually with clicks. I also still split my dose into two during the week to try and avoid highs and lows and limit side effects and I think this has worked to some degree.

I think the trick is to balance the dosage against side effects. eg. I might lose weight more slowly on a lower dose but at least I won’t feel ill!!

Of course some lucky folk just breeze through it all regardless of dosage with no side effects.

re. Tiredness - I feel it comes and goes. A few weeks ago, it was really affecting me and I had to have a nap in the afternoon for nearly a week! Since then seem to be more back to normal.
