Day to start?

I'm waiting for my first order to be approved but it's not looking like I'll be getting it in time for the weekend which I really wanted to do so any side effects eg diarrhoea can happen over the weekend. If it not ready for collection until Mon / Tues will it be ok to leave in fridge until next weekend.

What day did everyone do their first dose and how were the side effects. This is for mounjaro.

I work Mon Tues and Fri so was hoping to jab Fri night or Saturday morning but that won't be poss this week.

@Fatmumslim01 it's not common to get diarrhoea as an immediate reaction to the first dose. I didn't get any gastric side effects until week 6 or so, and then it was manageable.

Choose a day that you will reliably be able to inject on, every week. The medication peaks in your system between 8 to 72 hours, which usually correlates to the highest appetite suppression. I inject on a Friday morning so that I am feeling the full effects over the weekend. It wears off a little towards the end of the week but I find it easier to stay on track when I'm in the work/school routine.

Despite this misconception, side effects do not kick in straight after a shot and dissipate within a day or two. They are erratic little buggers which can strike at any given moment of any day and (often) without any perceptible cause! That is if you get any at all🤷‍♀️

Just take your dose at a time that is convenient for you or when it arrives and don’t over think it. You can always move it later if you wish to. Good luck!
