Stopping mounjaro quickly

Has anyone stopped mounjaro suddenly rather than weaning down doses and tailing off? What should I expect?

Did a month on 2.5, a month on 5, a month on 7.5 and in total lost two stone - half of my overall goal.

I'm just coming to the end of my month on 10 and I've lost nothing at all in a month, despite eating well and exercising. It's like I've suddenly become immune to it. I have also felt really unwell this month, in a way that I can't describe. I just feel like I'm dying inside.

I contacted Lloyds (who I'm buying from) and they suggested I keep on with 10mg, but I don't want to.

If I just stop taking it will the side effects be awful?

There are no withdrawal effects from Mounjaro, so there is no requirement to taper doses down slowly.

The amount in your system will just decrease daily until all is gone from your system.

Thanks for the reassurance. Lloyds pharmacy have been rubbish about providing this information!

I am similar, I have felt so unwell for the past month and the past 4 days I haven't actually been able to eat. I feel like I'm dying. Med express have said I can stop immediately and I can do this without reducing slowly. So I won't be taking any more doses. I'm almost at a healthy weight so gutted but I can't take anymore. The first 3 months I was symptom free and it was great. Hope you're okay OP

You haven't become immune to it. Weight loss and suppression does fluctuate. It's obviously your choice to stop it if you want but if you can afford it and want to keep losing weight I would recommend you keep going for 6 months at least. When you come off it the only side effect you'll get is really hungry.

I stopped cold 4 weeks as was required before a surgery, OP, and suffered no ill effects. Hope you feel better soon.
