Protein shake suggestions

Hi 👋

Just prepping for the week ahead. Does anyone have any protein shake suggestions. I'm a vegetarian and don't get enough protein, I'm also not that much of an adventurous cook, so although I need to get better, I'd like a shake a day to take the stress away.

I'm not vegan, but hate milk, so I'd make with oat milk.

Also, preferably a brand that doesn't taste too artificial!
Thank you 😊

I like the Huel shakes.

I buy vanilla icecream flavour whey protein powder from Holland and Barrett. You make it up with water and I add fruit to it - whizz it in a blender to make a smoothie.

The best (most protein and best taste) is anabolic gold. It's costly but a lot of the protein shakes have other stuff to make them taste nice or an actually a meal replacement and would potentially lead to weight gain. In a pinch, the moose one from b&m is also good but again, expensive if you're having one a day.

I like the proteinworks clear whey isolate shakes. Easier on the tummy and you don’t need to use milk/oatmilk.

I like vanilla whey protein from MyProtein. I blend it with milk, 0% Greek yogurt and frozen berries.

I use Purition, it’s full of seeds as well as protein and as unprocessed and natural as possible. It’s probably more of a meal replacement than just protein but it’s good, I just wish it was a bit cheaper but for now it’s worth it and a subscription saves a little bit.

A lot of ready made shakes, or flavoured protein powders are full of rubbish and artificial sweeteners.

I hate the taste of sweetener so I make my own using plain, unflavoured whey protein, milk (could use water), kefir, avocado, squeeze of agave, vanilla extract, a probiotic, and a few frozen strawberries. It can taste a bit milky because that's where whey protein comes from, so you could replace the protein powders with nut/soya protein.

I just like the fact that the plain ones have no nasties in and I can create my own flavours and sweetness level.

I have this for breakfast about 3-4 times a week.

Herbalife shakes aren't bad either.

Herbalife shakes aren't bad either.

Thank you. I have tried them before and got bad stomach cramps. Mind you that was 20 yrs ago! Probably changed for the better now.

I’ve tried a few, My Protein, Pro Milk, Bulk but favourite taste wise is the Herbalife ones. Not very cheap though, but filling and not too bad at all sugar wise. I have one for breakfast several days a week, blended with lots of ice
