Methylphenidate and Monjaro- experience pls?

Me again:-) I feel like I've asked a thousand questions!

I've been prescribed Monjaro. Npt received it yet. I take 52mg of methylphenidate for ADHD plus sometimes an extra 10mg fast release methylphenidate if I have a particularly long day.

Could anyone share their experience of combining ADHD meds with WLI please.

I'm a bit nervous despite my prescriber not flagging this as a concern.

Are the side effects worse?

It's weird because initially, I lost a lot of weight when I started taking methylphenidate. It curbs your appetite. But I guess over the yrs I've become immune, and my appetite is curbed for a few hrs max as opposed to most of the day.

I'm wondering if this will now double up as a weight loss tool or if I will just feel really rough with a high heart rate!!

Any insight would be amazing. Thank you.

I stopped taking my slow-release methylphenidate for the first week or so, just to give my body one thing at a time to handle, but when I reintroduced it it was fine! The only issue I've found is that taking it on an empty stomach always really makes feel really nauseous and I've had NO appetite in the morning because of the Mounjaro. So just had to force myself to have something high protein for breakfast (which is supposed to be best when taking methylphenidate anyway) so I'm not taking my meds with nothing else.

Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate that prehaps I'll do the same.

Do you still feel the alertness and energised feeling from the adhd meds?

I stopped taking methylphenidate as I found that the effects alongside the MJ were too strong for me, nausea and my immune system was so badly impacted. Just on MJ at the moment as I found that more effective for most of my symptoms anyway!
