Took my second injection last night and not feeling any suppression today - had some last week up until day 5 and then it started to wain. 2lb off in week one. No real side effects so taking that as a win!

Yes, this is me too precisely - what is that about? I'm going to stalk the January board to see if this means we have to go up to 5 next time as 2.5 won't cut it.. 🤔

I've noticed I seem to have the least suppression on injection day. I've only done 3 so far so might be wrong.

On Friday I had good suppression, wasn't hungry after eating etc then yesterday (jab day) I was pretty hungry and ended up snacking in the evening. Nothing close to what I'd normally snack on and still within cals but its odd. Fine today x

Trying to decide when to take my golden dose. The first 3 weeks were great and no food noise, great suppression, I had my last dose of 2.5 on Thursday and I've eaten sugar for the first time in weeks! Not feeling anything at the moment so I will go for Tuesday or Wednesday, seems to be a lot left in the pen!
I will have put on this week but hopefully back to it after the next dose.

I'd lost 12lbs in the first two weeks so I want the suppression back!

Can't believe we're on the third thread already!

Quick check in:

SW 210.4 lbs
CW 198.4 lbs (3 weeks in)

So that's 12lbs in the first 3 weeks. Not bad but I guess I'm rather impatient and can't wait to shift a bit more! Had my last 2.5 dose on Friday, couldn't get the golden dose out though.
Definitely ready to start the 5mg next week!

Hi- I have been lurking on these threads for a couple of weeks. Started mounjaro 27/01/25 and have lost 18lb on the 2.5mg. Relatively no side effects aside from constipation.
I did move up to the 5mg on 24/02 so this is my first full week on it. I can’t believe how hungry I have been on it and how much the food noise has returned.
I’ve not read anyone else have this experience when increasing their dose- this didn’t happen once on the 2.5mg dose so I’m really confused as to what’s going on.

It’s weigh day tomorrow so I will see how I get on.

Someone asked about random weight goals in the last thread

So, my recent starting weight (96.6) was the highest I have EVER weighed. 3 years ago I was about 74kg, but over the years my weight has gone up and down between 74-89. Luckily I haven't been such a heavy weight for all that long in the grand scheme of things, so hopefully this will be positive in terms of body/skin getting back to normal.

89kg My previous weight that I would get to and think things are out of hand, intervention needed

83kg The weight I have seemed to sit at the most, so my own personal average

74kg 'My' skinny weight. Even though this is still firmly overweight with regards to BMI, I think I look good at this weight, as I am a true hourglass, plus carry a fair bit of muscle due to all the exercise I do

66kg I don't think I have weighed this since I was a teenager/young adult. It would be a miracle to get this light, and would judge on how I seem as to whether I want to go this far.

PurpleCoo may I ask how tall you are? I seem to have similar numbers.
I got to just over 95kg this time, and like you that's the fattest I've ever been.
I tend to have a "happy weight" around 80kg I'd say, and I'm aiming to get to about 74/75 kg (my "slim weight").
Just before I fell pregnant with my last, I was at about 67kg and frankly looked emaciated, even though that's slap bang in the middle of healthy BMI for me. Hourglass shape here as well with big boobs and chunky thighs, and even though I'm obese at the moment (based on BMI) I don't actually look that bad as it's so evenly spread. I think that's how the weight creeps on tbh, I just don't notice that easily!

@SansaClegane I'm only 5'4, but carry weight exactly as you describe. As well as the massive boobs and chunky thighs I carry weight in my arms too, although the weight is just evenly spread on my whole body. No one can believe the weight I actually am and I always have a nice defined waist. Equally, I am mentally prepared that I need to lose a lot of weight, before it shows in my clothes becoming looser or me looking visibly slimmer, but I am fine with that. Although the waistbands get loose way before the rest of the trousers 🤣🤦‍♀️

Weigh in today is 200.2lbs 😭 So only 0.8 off for week 3. I know I shouldn’t be but I can’t help being a bit upset, I know I’m doing everything right and I’m tracking each bite. I’m desperate to hit onederland. It might help if I wasn’t struggling so much with bloating and constipation. Rabbit pellet central here.

i need to order my next pen. How do i do this? I ordered first from MedExpress, id like to stay with them but really want the discount. I dont want to pay full price. Does it mean i have to move providers constantly to get the initial money off offers each time?

Constipation is awful. I'm prone to it so I do a lot of things to prevent it.

Greek yogurt every morning with a spoonful of chia seeds and a spoonful of whole, unground flaxseed. Mix and let sit for a bit before you eat so they soften and absorb some liquid. Add a kiwi ( they have a chemical in that helps and the "5 st to lose" thread swears by them). Every other day, add a few chopped prunes as well.

Plus drink loads of water.

Had a sneaky weigh in this morning (official is tomorrow) and I haven't lost any more since my sneaky weigh in last week- even though it was about 4lbs by then, a few days in. I wasn't super strict this weekend so hoping after a day of being good today tomorrow will be better news.

I have to say, I don't feel the suppression as much this time round. The first time I took MJ last year, 2.5 cut my cravings dead. Now its not like that at all.

Basically yes- it seems very few providers do discount for repeat customers straight off the bat.

Add a kiwi ( they have a chemical in that helps and the "5 st to lose" thread swears by them). Every other day, add a few chopped prunes as well.

Plus drink loads of water.

Have you ever tried milled flaxseed? I find more effective at a good fibre balance.

I definitely do use ground flaxseed as well sometimes, but I find whole is good for constipation. You don't digest most of the seeds, they come out again ( sorry tmi) so help to move things along.

Weigh in and jab day today

First pen finished (including 5th dose) so starting new pen today and decided to stick with the 2.5 as I feel ok on that. I still feel hungry sometimes but I have no urge at all to eat crap, and even though I get hungry I'm really not bothered about food or eating.

SW 13st 3.5
CW 12st 5.5

So 12 lbs off from first pen, am happy enough with that as I feel it is a steady sustainable weight loss. No side effects now really which is another reason I'm staying on the 2.5.

Hi all, I'm planning to step up to 5mg and take the first dose of it this afternoon. I was thinking about trying for the extra 2.5 dose but I think I've got used to it as I'm feeling quite a lot of cravings again. Hopefully I'll settle on 5 for a few months and I'll probably try for the extra dose on that instead.

Ill post weight tomorrow since I'm convinced this mornings weigh in is a blip (it seemed too low). I'm a daily weigher, I like the data

I grind whole flaxseeds in a coffee grinder so the oils don't have a chance to go rancid. But not everyday because it's a hassle. I don't know if you'd call that ground or milled.

Another 3lb off this week. 6lb in two weeks. Really happy with this. I've just taken my 3rd dose. I need to start making a decision about my next pen. Do I stay on 2.5 as it seems to be working well or do I go up? which pharmacy to change to? and do I take the gd? 🤣

I must admit I wasn't convinced about this food noise thing everyone was talking about before taking mj. I thought that was just how everyone thought. But since being on mj oh my goodness, it's unbelievable how much I used to think about food.

I've just gone into the treat cupboard to put some shopping away and discovered some chocolate I'd put in there just before starting. I'd completely forgotten I'd put it in there! Nevermind it's still there!!! Completely unheard of!!

Just checking in. Did my golden dose from the 2.5 mg pen. Managed to get a does of around 3.2mg out. Am due to start my first 5mg pen on Friday, but am thinking may do a 3.75 dose out of it first as am worried about the jump up in case it causes any horrible side effects.
Has anyone else done this, and did it help?
