I’ve lost a small dog. Has anyone seen it? Next goal for this week: goodbye Kenwood stand mixer! 😂

My new scales arrive tomorrow, I'm braced to accept the difference 🤣

Oh well, exciting news on this.

Both scales weighed me the same this morning, so that's it, I won't step on the old ones again. My new ones should give me a nice graph to admire too 🤣

LionME · 02/03/2025 10:36

I’m right on the middle of W3 and I’ve lost about 1kg.

I can’t say it has done anything yet to change hunger levels or food noise. After a few days on W1 when I did feel the difference hunger wise, my body seem to have adjusted to it and doesn’t to co operate 😂

On the plus side, side effects are also very short lived.

Ill do the last injection at 2.5mg next week and then order the 5mg

My sugar levels have been in normal range since middle of first week, which means I feel a lot better in myself and my sleep is improving. I'm already on metformin which causes its own gut issues, and the mounjaro hasn't made it any worse. The only side effect was one evening of eggy burps. I haven't figured what triggered those but they haven't recurred.
I still think about food a lot of the time - I've always read recipe books for fun - but I'm being a fussier eater because if I'm eating less, I want to make sure it is food that I really enjoy.

Zazu44 · 02/03/2025 12:48

@Anxietysux yes I could do. Have ordered a 5mg today and hope it comes before Saturday then I can keep my unopened 2.5 for another time

Zibb · 02/03/2025 13:16

W3 D2
Woke up with sulphur burps which was a vile start to the day! At least the dizziness has passed. Have just been really lazy relaxed this morning. I don't usually get a Sunday off so making the most of it and giving my aching bones a rest.

Will be going for a walk in a bit though!

Looked at my weight graph this morning. Losses have slowed right down now after the initial huge one.

Highest weight on January 1st was 118.8kg.
SW: 115.8kg
CW: 106.2kg

I "only" lost 0.7kg this week. I admit that I was a little disappointed at first but gave my head a wobble and reminded myself that I am not crash dieting I am making sustainable lifestyle changes. If I do this right I'm never going to see 115kg on the scales again!

MJSpideySenses · 02/03/2025 13:26

I'm sat in the car while DS is buying himself a KFC. He offered to buy me one but I declined 😇

I have a rash all over my stomach today. I think I might have a virus as I've been exhausted but was blaming mounjaro. Who knows.

I'm going to have a light lunch and then a nice, long walk with the dogs. Hope everyone is enjoying this sunny Sunday.

stargazer02 · 02/03/2025 14:57

@aylis and @ashtyler also hoping to be in the 15s this week too.

Day I applied 13/02 238 lbs 17stone exactly
SW 15/02 235.5 (- 2.5 lb without jab)
W1 22/02 229 (-6.5 week 1 of jab, total 9lbs)
CW 2/03 225.5 (- 3.5 week 2 of jab, total 12.5lbs)

Have made it to the top of the 15s a few times in the past then lost motivation, so surpassing 15st 7 (217lb) feels like it will be the first big milestone for me- hopefully around end of this month.

hopeMJ · 02/03/2025 15:15

Took my second injection last night and not feeling any suppression today - had some last week up until day 5 and then it started to wain. 2lb off in week one. No real side effects so taking that as a win!

buffyangel · 02/03/2025 15:28

4lbs down in 1st week. The food noise was creeping back yesterday (day 6) so glad to be taking second dose today. The week before I started I ate lots of very bad food because I knew I was about to start the healthier eating regime. So in fact the 4lb loss was probably 4lb I put on the week before I started! 🙄.

Poppins17 · 02/03/2025 15:35

Thanks for thread three @Mounjaroday 🤍

Cantor believe how fast February went!

Loving the weather so far this month.. long may it continue.

Hope everyone has a great month!

Marypoppinsisnosaint · 02/03/2025 15:56

Oh I've felt awful today!

We planned to go out on a family walk today around 11/11.30. Because I'd had a late breakfast I didn't want anything before and didn't think to take a snack for myself (sorted the kids out though 🤦‍♀️) we've not long been back and I feel as sick as a dog! I know it's because I've not eaten. Eaten something now but still feel ill. Lesson definitely learnt there!!

Also seeing as no one has taken me up on my med express code (rude! 🤣🤣) just kidding I know the market for codes is swamped. I wondered if anyone could recommend a pharmacy please? Hopefully one with an introductory offer. I do my 3rd jab this week ( not 100% sure if I'm going to do the gd or not) so I'd like to get the ball rolling.

Well done all on the losses, I honestly can't believe how much of a difference it is being able to make better choices thanks to mj!

Hangryfastjo · 02/03/2025 16:20

@marypoppinsisnosaint I got my second pen from IQ doctor. There was 30% off the first pen, but they offer % off for those that stay with them

LaundryQueenX3 · 02/03/2025 17:31

Thanks for the new thread!!
Really enjoying this journey so far, taking my 3rd does on Tuesday and then will order my next 5mg pen.
someone posted a really helpful link which showed all the prices on each site but I can’t find it now…..please could I have the link again 🙏🏼

WelshRarebit18 · 02/03/2025 17:42

I did my 5th jab last night but decided to do a half dose (2.5mg) from my 5mg pen. I’ve had a couple of weeks with awful sickness and was really worried about side effects when going up to 5mg, but I’m not feeling a lot of food suppression today so I’m taking that as a sign that I definitely need to try 5mg next Saturday.

Quick check-in from me…weighed in at just over a 14st 1lbs this morning, so about a stone loss in the first month. Definitely ready to up to 5mg this coming Tuesday.
For anyone using Med-Express, I found out recently they do a Blue Light discount so emailed them. It’s usually only on first purchase but as a goodwill gesture they’ve credited me with £45 which I’ll use against my third pen. Sorry if it’s been said on here already, but I’m dead chuffed and wanted to share.

arealnewbie · 02/03/2025 17:58

Thanks for the new thread!

SW- 12st 12lbs
CW- 12st 7lbs
GW- 11st

That's my first week over 😅 I was petrified I was about the side effects but thankfully I've had almost none. Fingers crossed it continues like this. Have been take Aloe Vera tablets every day as apparently they keep you regular as I was worried about constipation.

Suppression was good. Have joined 6-week boot camp at a gym. Really enjoyed it last week- muscles were screaming at me though 😂. Another 3 sessions this week. Have made some positive changes on nutrition especially with snacking (my downfall). But have been surprised how much MJ has stopped me from wanting to stuff my face with crisps every night while watching tv!

SilentRetreat · 02/03/2025 18:41

3lbs down for week 2. A bit of indigestion in the night after eating spicy food but otherwise feeling good with suppression between meals.

Catmum100 · 02/03/2025 18:52

Hi all,

I posted at the start and then have been AWOL, great to read through the thread and see everyone's losses so far!

I'm on:
W4 D5
SW: 13st 3lb
CW: 12st 5lb
TW: 10st 10lb ish

I've loved it so far, no food noise, appetite suppression at a good level (can feel it returning slightly after 4 weeks on 2.5). Obviously over the moon with the weight loss so far which has felt effortless. And I feel more like me.

I'm nervous about going up to 5mg on Wed, as I've been almost completely free of side effects so far on the 2.5mg. I just was cold for a couple of days really. So we'll see what this dose brings!

DelightfullySoSo · 02/03/2025 19:04

W2D1 - lost 4lbs in my first week and happy with that :) I weighed a day early too because I needed to move my jab back from a Sunday night to a Saturday night.

However... After my 1st jab I felt quite ropey, some nausea, hot flush in the middle of the night, belly like a tumble dryer.. but got off lightly and by W1D3 I was good and had great suppression.

Suppression was definitely wearing off (along with nausea etc) by Days 4 and 5. I jabbed yesterday (Day 6). I thought - yess! I can totally do this :)

What has been really odd is that I have had no bad symptoms at all after my second jab. I slept like a baby, had zero nausea, and felt normal—very different from last week.

Today I have been much more interested in food, shall we say. I have kept well within calories for the day but I have been thinking about food much more, just like I used to. I feel like the food noise has crept back, and I'm really surprised as I literally just took a 2nd jab.

Has anyone else experienced this after a 2nd jab? I wondered if I did it right.. it's as if I am literally on the next day of my 1st jab, and haven't had a second one (if that makes any sense?)

Will it kick back up again, or should I plan to move to 5 for my next order? I really, really wanted to stay on 2.5 as long as possible.

I emailed them and explained I have a card and didn’t know about the discount, so they have credited my account as a goodwill gesture. Apparently it only applies to new customers so might be worth you doing it that way so they will credit you. I just went through the enquiries tab on the website. ☺️
