Mounjaro - dropping down a dose when can't tolerate it.

As per the title, what happens if you are too ill with side effects when you go up a dose and need to drop back to the previous dosage after the first week or 2?
Do you have to pay for another month's worth if you're with a subscription like Voy? Or is that covered in your plan?
And can you keep the remaining in the pen to use the following month? Or is it only good for 30 days?
I overheard someone in a cafe say that their mounjaro buddy had to drop from 10 back to 7.5, I'm now curious!
TIA

No idea about the subscription model, but I would imagine it isn't covered, and you would need to either pay for a different pen or wait until the next order and change it before that's sent out.

Dropping down from 10 to 7.5mg might be at the end of using the 10mg pen, rather than half way through.

Once a pen has started to be used, it should only be kept for 30 days before discarding.

The other thing you can do is to do a partial dose, not a full dose. So a full dose on a pen is 60 clicks when you turn the dose knob to the 1 position. For a 7.5mg dose from a 10mg pen, you could turn it 45 clicks instead of the 60 to give you a 7.5mg dose from a 10mg pen. It means you'd have some medication left over after, but a lot less than if you just stopped using the pen and ordered a new 7.5mg pen.

Thanks for your reply. I didn't know that about the clicks relating to the dosage!
That makes sense about not wasting the pen.
