I started mounjuro Monday and today I’ve realised I’ve not had anything but a banana until now.
i was told it would take 2/3 weeks to kick in but I literally haven’t thought about food???
is this just a placebo effect? Or have others experienced early symptoms??

@Blueberrysqish it's not unusual I think. Some people, me included, had a quick reaction to the first dose.

But, do try to schedule in and eat regularly even if small portions.

Only one banana since Monday or just today?!

assume today. Yes normal, my appetite died entirely so had to just eat my meal plan and was pretty low cal initially until I settled into things. Protein drinks helped enormously.

Just today 😂.
I guess I just wasn’t expecting it to work within a week. Not even fancied chocolate and I’m a massive chocoholic hence being overweight 😬😬

@SilenceInside
thank you. Just wasn’t expecting it so quickly.

Just in case you get too excited, I started the same but it doesn't have such an effect now. Still good! But not like that first weekend wistful

MissionToSize10 · 22/02/2025 19:18

I did my first jab on Tuesday 530pm and by 7pm, i was just full and no food noise. I feel a lot calmer in myself tbh. Its been great not thinking about snacking

Blueberrysqish · 23/02/2025 08:10

@MissionToSize10
good luck!! It’s certainly weird not to be thinking about food all the time lol

Try to prioritise eating some protein or your body will be consuming muscle as well as fat, just fyi! (This isn't specific to Mounjaro, it would happen with any very low calorie diet)

OntheTrainX · 23/02/2025 13:42

Yes -it kicked in quickly for me and reduced on day six.
